2013 Ford Escape 1.6 liter coolant pump video #9

Last video on this Escape I promise....lol In this one I am bleeding the cooling system with the Radkit plus. Getting the engine up to operating temperature, final assembly of the cowl and wash down of the engine-all ok.

Man ARod, I have a somewhat nasty oil leak coming from around the area by the timing chain cover. ugh, sill ford dealer here replaced the water pump about 3 years ago, thinking something is jacked from that...

I'm not sure if you will get this comment so many years later but I really enjoyed your video and learned a lot. What was the total amount of hours you spent on this escape (if you can remember) and what should I expect from another mechanic?

Thank u, have lots of views on these for some odd reason. This was warranty. Im not sure what the cash job would pay. 800ish maybe....

awesome video, do you know if I decide to change the timing belt is the cam on the right (the one you wedged in place) under load when you release the belt from it (will it spin)?

yes, it will spin. u need 2 remove the valve cover to install the special holding tools to perform that type of repair
