Help ! How does a person change out batteries in these boats! I have a 1988 18 ft with out board and I am not able to lift the heavy batteries out to replace them . I like DIY and this has proven an impossible feat.

I wondered what happened to this guy. I haven’t seen him ever since he raced Wiccy Booby at Talladega. I heard he fell in love with Wiccy Booby and was heart broken. I guess he gave up racing and went to work for 4 Winns

Could you use a boat like this in a area that sometimes has choppy water such as the Long Island Sound in New York? I heard on a bow-rider the waves sometimes come over the bown and can swamp the boat. How valid is this statement. Thanks.

Very late, but yes, it can swamp. I’ve been sitting in the bow when this has happened and it really ruins your day, especially if it happens at night. Still mad about that.

Not a big wave boat. However with that being said you can put a canvas cover over the bow area that would pretty much make it a closed bow.
