I replaced the coolant in my F6B. I have roughly 30K miles on the bike and it's been 5 years so it's time to change it. Watch this video if you'd like to see how I did it. The process is probably the same for goldwings, but not exactly sure. One thing to note, only remove the radiator coolant cap after the bike has completely cooled down...

Hello, I'm BG Rides (aka Hollywood) because I like to make these KZbin movies :) I love to ride bikes around the country and everywhere in between. Traveling on a bike is such an incredible feeling. A group of us go on our annual 10 day bike trip each year. We love to ride, but really enjoy the journey and the friendships on the road. If you're thinking about getting into motorcycle riding, just do it, get the bike, don’t wait. No one's getting any younger and you're going to have a blast! It's all about the journey, the friendships, and the discovery! Get out there and see the country and I'll see you on the next ride :) Thanks for watching and please subscribe!!

very nice, clean simple and very nice. Love the seat and stand? were did you get them??
@bgrides2108
@bgrides2108 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The seat is from Corbin. Here's a link if you'd like to check them out. "www.corbin.com/honda/hf6bdte.shtml". The center stand came with the bike. From what I've read, you can buy the center stand from ebay and get the mounting hardware from revzilla...

Thank you! When you say you checked to make sure the air bubbles were out, how did you do that? Just by rubbing the bike and re checking the level?
@bgrides2108
@bgrides2108 8 ай бұрын
Hello, you basically run the bike for a while on the center stand (no radiator cap yet) and let the bubbles work themselves throughout the system to come out. Kind of like burping a baby :) Give the bike a rev every now and then to help get more bubbles out. Run the bike long enough so the engine gets hot and turns on the fan and stuff. This will also help move the coolant around resulting in helping to get more bubbles out... Thanks for watching. Hope the video helps.

@@bgrides2108 Well I tried to flush but I removed the bottom drain plug and nothing came out. I also removed the radiator cap which shows full and still nothing came out. Any suggestions?
@bgrides2108
@bgrides2108 4 жыл бұрын
@@mlh2024 Maybe the drain hole is plugged with something. Could you have removed the wrong screw thinking it was the plug? You should get a lot of coolant coming out when the top fill cap is removed... sorry. Wish I was more helpful.

Video said some people recommend 50/50 water and vinegar? vinegar which is an acid and eats metal in an engine? Wander where that idea came from?
@bgrides2108
@bgrides2108 4 жыл бұрын
Hi jackle842000, Thanks for watching!! I think some people mix white vinegar with the water to possibly to a little bit more aggressive cleaning. White vinegar is a little less acidic than normal vinegar. Here's a video I found that mentions the white vinegar if your thinking about mixing it with the water. Another video or two mentioned it also, but I can't remember which ones... I'd guess you would need to flush with distilled water after using the white vinegar but not sure. kzbin.info/www/bejne/onPLp5ljbaaVrsk Start at the 15 min mark

Do you know how to remove the left side body work to get access to the radiator? Might have a leak on 2017 F6B and need access to see if there is any leak or loose clamps?
