2013 INFINITI G - Bluetooth Streaming Audio

If your vehicle is equipped with Bluetooth Streaming Audio, you can access and play audio files from your Bluetooth compatible device.
If the desired Bluetooth audio player is already paired as a phone, you can go to Settings.
Then Bluetooth.
Then Connected Devices.
Then, Audio Player.
And, select your already paired phone as an audio player.
To utilize this feature if your Bluetooth audio player is not already paired as a phone, press the SETTING button on the control panel.
Select the "Bluetooth" key.
Select the "Connect Bluetooth" key.
The next screen will ask you if you're connecting the device to use with the hands-free phone system. Select the "No" key.
The vehicle display screen will give you a PIN of your choice. You'll need to enter it into your Bluetooth audio device to complete the connection process.
Please check your Bluetooth audio device's owner's manual for more information.
Once set-up, you can access the Bluetooth audio mode. Press the DISC-AUXILIARY button several times until the correct screen appears. The screen will also display the Bluetooth controls.
Your device's audio files will now play through the vehicle's speakers. In some cases, the sound quality is compromised through the Bluetooth connection. If you have this experience, we recommend using the USB audio input.
Please be aware that selecting or pairing a Bluetooth audio player may not be available immediately after starting the vehicle. Please allow a short time for the paired phone's phonebook to update before selecting or pairing a Bluetooth audio player.

@@andrewjoseph59 There's an app called Discord. It's a gaming app. But it will allow you to play your android through the Infiniti radio. It's okay for sports or talk but it's not very good quality for music.

I dont know about that specific trim, does it have a usb port inside the center console ? My usb menu does not show up unless a usb device is inserted, older units used to show up all the options even if something was not connected.

You connect you’re charger on the usb middle console port and go to iPod and it should work i don’t know if it only works with iPhones I’ve only tried with iPhone and it works perfectly fine.

it's funny that the only way I can get my music to play since I don't have an iPhone is through a USB stick because I bought the non navigation model. Infiniti really dropped the ball on this one and far as I researched there is no fix for it either if you have an Android phone. I ask dealership about switching out the head unit to see if it would work then but no one was able to answer the question

i have an infiniti g37 and i have an iphone 6 plus and it wont connect to my phone by USB to listen to music. i have even changed the USB outlet thinking it was damaged...nope! still wont connect. i have to use my IPOD, how does that make any sense? i would have to find a way to change the whole radio, but the updated radio looks like trash. pretty irritated with this car.

It's important to note that Infiniti will not support or actually help customers with anything other than an iOS device. No flagship Android 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 such as Gnex or S3 devices will be stable or sound good, and no Infiniti dealership will help you troubleshoot an Android device... "sound quality is compromised" will become the fist clenching understatement of your $40,000 mistake.

Thanks, works very well on my 2010 G37 cab and I understand now that there in fact 2 BT networks : One for handsfree and the other one for audio . However, each time we start the car, priority is given to handsfree and I have to manually go to the menu and select BT/Audio/myphone . Is there a way to always have both BT networks on when we start the car ?

Really? my first 5 phone calls to bluetooth support didn't help my issue. However, they did result in the compatibility list on the website being altered to say Galaxy S3 ATT, Galaxy S3 T-mobile, specifically to exclude my Galaxy S3 Verizon. You see, it is easier and cheaper for Infiniti to change their approved phone list based off your complaint than to release a firmware update for the Clarion head unit and fix your complaint. How's that for customer service... Do you really think someone would bother posting a rage comment if they hadn't already tried your worthless phone number and your worthless dealerships? Stop pretending to care.

Simple, you cannot ... the older vehicles did not have any sort of airplay. If you truly want to see the phone video content, you would need an adapter to convert the phone line into the RCA connections in the center console (if you have the ports in your vehicle --- feature was removed).

+305arab hi i had a 2008 g35 and you can get a bluetooth receiver off amazon that works with USB for power. take it apart, solder the 5v lead to the ipod cable included with your car. now get a 3 plug aux cord(RCA) and plug it into the little bluetooth device from amazon. now when you hit AUX on the radio, you get the bluetooth streaming. i just totaled my car and i'm figuring out how to get a Windows phone to work with a 2013 G37... wanna trade? :)

yes you can, download the service manuals for both vehicles (they are free online) and you can match up the wiring, a lot of the plugs are the same. May not be worth it on an old car, but that is up to you to decide. We did it my friends car a while back when the car was newer. You will need - updated lcd screen - master head unit - control buttons (to show nav, map, route, etc) near the screen - generic gps antenna (ebay $15) -- placed under center dash around the center speaker - usb connector plug (for center console) - buy multi AV unit WITH all the plugs cut off (a lot of sellers on ebay include all plugs) - usb cable is a special 4 pin prong (blue tip) The swap out takes about 5-7 hours total, just pre-plan all the wiring changes. We did it to my friend's G37 that was non navi, went from 2008 non navi to 2012 navi lcd screen. Hope that works out for you.

I bought an Infiniti G37XS last year was able to pair it fine and even get my music to come through the speakers and what not but it's unbelievably so and takes forever to realize any input I've made, for example, after paired I'll go into my music in my Iphone 6s and start a song but it'll take about 5-ish seconds to recognize and start playing. Also every once in a while it will randomly go into shuffle mode even when the phone nor the car has shuffle turned on, and if I decide to skip a song it takes 10-ish seconds to start the next song and an additional 10-ish seconds to bring up the song information on the screen and prevents me from changing the song again until the information has been loaded onto the screen. Is there anything I could do about these issues???
