Thanks for the review! We were all set to buy the top end Sonata, it's not even close. We bought our SXL yesterday replacing our Infiniti. I can't stop grinning. It's just amazing. It also feels nice to buy a car built in the USA - Georgia. Some more features: Power passenger seat, ventilated seats, power folding mirrors, voice activated navigation with Satellite traffic data. Heated steering wheel. The automatic parking brake turns on when you come to a full stop, tap gas to idle forward.

Of coarse they did. We have that tire care package and she used it within the first week. I hated the feeling of not being able to throw a spare on so I told them to tell me as soon as they offer one I will have them throw it in right away. Feels good knowing that we have it.

Also the trim package on the inside. We decided on the wood. Gives it a great touch. Its on the steering wheel,dash,door,shifter and center console. The design of the rims are different also.

Yeah thanx. I found that out after I posted the video. I did the review in a short manner that I couldn't remember and didn't care at the time. Batteries were dying and didn't have the charger with me. More worried about the looks then the technical stuff!!! But thanx again!!

your correct, by me saying figure what someone is comfortable in paying monthly simply means that if you add it all up your satisfied with the total cost of the car, I mean if you know the total cost that you are shooting for then you gotta know the payment range you have already figured you are ready to pay even before you walk into the dealership!!! yes, it lowers when the GPS is verbally navigating but yes you can listen to any music you want

i have 2012 optima sx blue.. not a big fan of built-in navigation so I got one without it. '13 sxl looks pretty neat as far as lights and minor interior details are concerned, but spec wise it's identical to '12 model. congrats on your new vehicle and drive safe cuz other drivers will be looking at your car

Not for Optima. However, if I am not mistaken the new 2013 Kia Cee'd/Cerato/Forte, does equipped with Auto Folding Side View Mirror upon locking/unlocking the car.

Thanks for the advice! She is getting the SXL for the price of the EX because they only have the Red color in the SXL and don't want us to go to the other Kia dealer in the area lol! The extra HP will be nice. But that's good to know about the low profile. My brother's Acura is like that.

I do have a spare tire kit. I just got it and filmed a video on it. I just have to edit it and post it. We picked the sxl for the whole package. Not just for the turbo but for all the trim work and the was that napa leather looks and feels. We don't ever settle. Plus, what the wife wants is what she wants. lol We didnt even ask about the UVO so I am truely not sure.

@TADPOLE696 GDI has injectors but they inject directly in the combustion chamber and not in the intake manifold close to the intake valves.

Great Review! one thing I noticed is missing is a tower strut to brace the front. I thought the Turbo version would come with it? And I love the rubber mats, even on the trunk. Way cool!

hey i just have a quick question. I bought a brand new 2012 kia optima sx a month ago. And the eco mode is great but the light stays on even when i pass 3000 rpm. I took it to the dealers and they said it should go away after you hit over 3000 rpm but I had no time for them to test drive it. Is this a problem?? My 2009 honda pilot has the same feature except theres no button to turn it on its always on. But when i go past about 3000 rpm it goes away.

@wiggumz their is a actual key inside of the key fob so u can open the doors with the physical key it inside of the grey part! But that's cool u can charge ur key inside the car my dad has the same key for his Hyundai and when it died he had to use the other key and get a new one

I am deciding on whether to buy the Kia Optima EX or the new Honda Accord Sport. I have not tested either yet, just done some research (I'm waiting to do my taxes in 2013) but I was leaning towards the accord because its Honda. And this is well... a Kia. But my friends are saying that Kia has done some serious upgrading in terms of quality and performance and that its worth considering. I really like the way it looks and the the reviews I have seen are pretty good. Is it treating you good?

Yes. At the very top above your window controls, you should see a button that has a mirror on it. Press it to fold the mirrors in.

My Sorento folds its power folding mirrors when I press the lock button twice on my key fob, but I don't think the Optima does that. I usually don't use it that much unless I'm trying to be like 'oh look what my car can do.' Usually I use the button on the door handle and always have the key in my pocket. Very convenient.

It is hard to haggle if you are aggressive. I don't have the gift for haggling but my twin brother does and man he loves it. You have to be prepared to walk away. If they don't hit what your willing to pay a month then you walk out and go to the next dealer. I know you get excited but that is what they want. They will try to entice you and hook you by test drives and what they will give you. Don't fall for it. Sit down and figure what you are comfortable paying a month ......

I got a 2020 EX for about 480 a month. 0 down. With a trade owing about 6 k in negative equity i still got it for about 31 grand all together. So got the car for about 25k not bad i thought

I just bought a EX Turbo loaded (37 000$), wich is about 2 trim lower than him and I'm paying 300 $ bi-weekly, so 600$ a month. just for the car, I will have to wait to see what my plates, insurance and fuel cost me monthly.
