No, the SXL is basically a trim above the SX. The L stands for Limited, a package exclusive to the SX. Hope this helps!

Test drove the sx and it handled very well. 274 hp, I just wished it was rwd instead of fwd. the panoramic roof was very nice as well. Not crazy about the chrome wheels though.

My needs would be a navi, and all 2012 amenity's. Leather wrapped steering wheel. Leather seats. Comfortable, and enough room to hall around as many friends as possible.

It looks like a similarly equiped Acura (with NAV, etc) is closer to 42K if you want 18 inch wheels and ventilated seats? With rebates and discounts, You could pick up a SX-L Optima for about 31K.

It wasn't meant to be a review. By the way, I'm not 14, and I was not filming with an iPhone either. I may not have professional equipment, I don't have the money for that. It really depends on your personal preference. I prefer the Optima's European lines and luxurious feel. The Sonata is by no means a bad car; heck, the Sonata Limited 2.0T and Optima SX are basically the same car. Hyundai has no SXL equivalent. However, the Sonata is targeted directly at the midsize sedan segment (Camry, Accord, Passat,etc.) while the Optima plays 2 roles; midsize sedan competitor and fullsize/luxury competitor, the likes of Lexus ES, Toyota Avalon, (continued...)

As well as the VW CC, Nissan Maxima, and Ford Taurus, to name a few. Heck, people are cross shopping the Acura TSX to the Optima! So why the Sonata and Optima are basically the same car, they are meant for somewhat different buyers. I just prefer the Optima's more "premium feel" versus the Sonata.

i already assumed because the chose infinity sound system would be all about extended tweeters. that is why in the 60's they chose to put big booming sub woofers. tweeters= cheap.

That sure is a lot of money for your 1st car! It depends on what kind of money that you would like to pay for gas, insurance, etc. What are your standards for "fast"? A Civic is fast compared to a Smart ForTwo, but a Civic is as slow as molases compared to a Mustang GT. Do you want a sedan? Hatch? There are a lot of variables when looking. What are your needs in a car?

Have you ever heard the expression 'Don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say'? Thats what I'm saying. Its different to critique than to just say "Horrible review." As I previously said, if you have an issue/criticism, propose a solution. Thats acceptable. The only thing that the Optima has that my 2013 Hyundai Sonata SE lacks is the electronic parking brake. Other than that, I think the Sonata is a much nicer car, especially when it comes to the interior.

Trust me, if my Dad ever owned a car dealer, there is no way in heck it would be a brand such as Kia! And um no not really... I do not believe that Mercedes-Benz uses that style dash. Or VW. That god awful chrome strip that follows along the C-pillar totally ruins the look of this car. The front end is beautiful, the back is pretty good too, but that awkward chrome piece just kills it for me. It's like a beautiful woman with extremely fat lips or a massive hairy mole on her nose.
