You guys criticise the off road capabilities and then only show it on pavement?

No excuses. We cater to the US audience for numerous reasons. For starters, AutoGuide was founded initially to cater to our large forum network with 70% of the users being American. Obviously, it's also an economic decision, with more opportunities for revenue and growth in the US. Finally, we want to compete with the world's best and feel this is the best way to do so. - Colum Wood, Editor-in-Chief

no my friend. I work at a standards institution and while we primarily deal in the metric system, it is not uncommon to use HP,lb/ft,MPH, Mpg etc. Why? Because it is still an accepted and legitimate form of measurement.

Again, I'm going to criticize Autoguide for not using metric units (or at least providing them on screen) for their non-American audience. This episode was filmed in Etobicoke, in Toronto, Canada ffs...what's your excuse, Autoguide?

I do enjoy seeing my condo in the back of the scenes. Represent lakeshore west! Woo ecoke Hahaha
@NeutralGenericUser11 жыл бұрын
I can definitely appreciate that, but why not at least give a slight nod to your Canadian audience (seeing as you have a large Canadian audience) with some metric measurements on screen. Actually, this wouldn't be helpful exclusively to your Canadian audience as every country on earth outside of the US uses these ubiquitous measurements as well. EU, Australia, etc. etc.

Reliability in all land rover models are a well known facts. When they work they are great. I drove 2012 discovery August 2012 brand new car& the airbag sign came on whilst test driving! Took the car back and bought a jeep!

Watch Motormouth, which has better reviews anyways, and they specifically target the Canadian market (they're based in Vancouver).

Your profile says Trinidad and Tobago, which reaffirms what I said about those measurements only being somewhat popular in North America (technically, I think T&T might be in S. America, but the West Indies and rest of the Caribbean is usually considered North America). Go anywhere else on earth and you'll find that nobody uses nor understands them (with the exception of the UK, and even they would only understand the ones they use like mph).

Good job but you've got to loosen up a bit.

Apparently, they want to compete with "the world's best" so it's perfectly acceptable for them to completely ignore the Canadian and international audience in favor of American viewers. P.S. Motormouth has better reviews anyways, and they specifically target the Canadian market (they're based in Vancouver).

great to see that you want to compete with the words best but you need more free flowing natural presenters. You don't want to come across as reading from a sheet of paper or going off of prompts. Anyone can look up the specs of a car..give us the look and feel sort of review where we finish the video with a very good idea of the car and how it compares to its main competitors. still thumbs up

The 2.0 L turbo engines are not the most reliable. My sisters 2012 jaguar XF had a 2.0L turbo engine . the drive train is made by the same supplier of engines to many different car companies. this vehicle began to missfire badly and the middle 2 cylinders were melting the piston rings. oil starvation most likely. do some reserarch before buying any vehicle made in the early 2010's. The engine is most likely a variation of this 2.0L turbo engine.

if you dont know how much 200hp is and 30mpg then you need to go back to school. HP and lb/ft are industry standards worldwide and many car mags and car shows use HP, mpg, MPH and lb/ft as a reference point. Get over yourself.

LOL @ your ignorance. Since when were HP, mpg, mph, etc world wide standards? Every single country in the world outside of North America uses nm and kw to denote power, and every country in the world outside of North America, with the exception of the UK, uses km/h and l/100km. Maybe you should go back to school for not knowing that?

Maybe because some of us (read: 95% of the world's population) use Metric measurements and don't give a fuck about mpg and miles and lb ft and hp. Use km/h, l/100km, nm, and kw.
