I have a twin to this and I love it. Yes, it's an old car now but the timeless styling still gets me some compliments on it. It was my father's car. He gave it to me before he passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago. I love having this car and miss him everyday. He was from Germany and actually apprenticed at Mercedes. So they have always been special cars to our family even when we didn't have one which was always too long of course. Anyway I am glad to have come across this review again that Bill did. We definitely appreciate these cars and I love Bills reviews of course! 💯

Bill, if you still read these comments, could you answer a question for me on these 2013 e350's? I have a 2013 with the new steering wheel that came out in '13. At the 6:44 mark your hand is hovering over the old circular steering wheel controls that were replaced in '13 with the squared pattern. My question is why are there so many 2013's, like this one, still using the older steering wheels from 2012?

Hey Bill! Can you do a review for a 2010 Audi A6 3.0T if you come into contact with one soon?? I'm really debating hard between this E-class (2012) and the A6 and would like your opinion. The E-class is almost perfect and has my preferred suspension feel that balances comfort and handling etc but isn't as torquey as the A6.. It's also a bit more pricey and I wanna know if it's worth the extra bucks even though they're both built like tanks.

How do these sound at idle? I went to go look at one and it drives fine and I love it, but it sounds really rough, kinda loud at idle. There also was a slight clunking when pulling away. Thinking it could be the engine mounts. Not sure if that sound is normal or not though

Hi Rina, Before my 2013 E350 luxury model like the one Bill is reviewing in this video. I use to have 2010 E350 Sport, and it came with the larger AMG wheels. I live in New York, and we have large potholes every during the winter months. During my three lease period of 2010 E350 with the AMG wheels, I had significant issues with the wheels and tires. Thank God I purchased the wheel insurance at the dealer when I got my 2010 E-Class; otherwise, I would have spent close to $20,000 out of pocket in the wheel and tire repairs. The worst was when two wheels hit a pothole on the same side, as it only has one spare tire. I had that happen four times, and I had to get a flatbed tow truck to take it to the dealer for repair replacement of tires/wheels. Some times it just a tire replacement, and sometimes it was wheel damage, so it was the wheel and tire replacement. It was eight-wheel and tires when I had two in the same side damage, and then there were the other five times that it was only one wheel and or wheel and tire damage. If I lived in an area with no potholes, I would definitely go with the larger AMG wheels. But I don't, so when I bought my 2013 E350. I made sure to get the luxury version with 17" wheel, and I do not regret it. I only damaged one wheel on pothole since 2013, and I am still driving it.
