That orange car was the Team Spencer Racing Historic Kudzu. They fielded a similar paint schemed RX 8 @ the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona a few years ago... Based out of Atlanta, these guys are keeping the rotary legend alive...

What’s with it with the RX 792P always spinning lol, went to the Long Beach Grand Prix a few months ago and saw that same car spin out first hand coming out the hairpin, I even caught it on camera.

I was there too. Fuckin' love that car. Was more entertaining than the Indy race, IMO. I was lucky to have seen the 792P race in San Diego in 92 when I was a kid. What an impression those cars made on me. Was bummed they were there this year but the 70s-80s F1 cars were great.

Ok, this wasn’t easy to find, but I think the actual name of the car is Kudzu DLY. I’m not sure if it’s lmp1 or lmp2, but raced in 1998 and is powered by a mazda 4 rotor developing 600 hp. no victories believe. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3PKf4qHm9-Cgqc Here’s a video
