I'm a Ford truck guy but have to admit that the 2013 Ram 1500 is probably the class of the field now. This thing is light years ahead from the model they offered not long ago.

i dont think thats been released yet but they say its 20% more fuel efficient so maybe around 14-15 city, 21 hwy? with available start/stop that'll up city mpg by 1 more

Is LSD or locking differential available in the two wheel drive models?

LSD stands for limited slip differential, which is different then locking differential.

I get a chuckle out of people who poo poo better gas mileage. If a truck (doesnt matter the maker) gets better fuel economy while still being a truck and doing what trucks do best then I'm all for it.

Why does a truck have to be a penalty box? You know, it's not a problem to be more comfortable while working. If you don't want those options, feel free to buy the ST .

Ford has always had the best sales, even when they didn't have the best truck. If you want proof of that, look at a 1995 Ram and a 1995 Ford. It's like the difference between the Queen Mary II and the Mayflower, but guess which one sold better? It's like comparing a Camry to a Fusion; one is better, the OTHER one sells better. As for dependability, I dare the Ecoboost to be as reliable in service as any 1970 truck motor. Got a problem? INSTANT trip to the dealership, in any modern truck.

maybe next year dodge will come up with a 10 or 12 speed automatic transmission. More gears more problems, that's another way of looking at it.

The Ecoboost doesn't get much better gas mileage than a V8. I'd rather have a big n/a V8 than a problem prone forced injection V6. A turbo motor in a gas engine is unreliable, especially if you do a lot of heavy duty towing, you will be a regular at the dealership.

i agree, certainly for the moment. however with more refinement, and improvement in the next few years, look for turbo gas engines to be much better.

mean4g I think turbo's are great, unless you are towing. That heat can't be good. But if you were just attacking the shopping mall then I guess it's ok??

my brands better > than your brand, Mom he's picking on me again... really test em all out and buy what you like. Toss up for me after trying Chevy, Ford, Ram, and toyota. Ram came out on top for me with ford a close 2nd. I've had both in the passed and both were good trucks.
