Great review on the Ram Dave. I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn with 5.7 Hemi and 6 speed. The truck is the best i have ever owned, i am 49 and i have been driving Fords my whole life. I have been converted!

My grandad just bought a 2013 escalade with the 6.2 which is a beast but we'll see about the reliability. I've heard good things. The uncle that had the sierra now has an 09 hemi ram with near 100k, No problems. I could list ten friends with gm 1500s, suburbans, yukons and tahoes that were in the shop all the time.

Man I love the longhorn interior. This will be a good truck to upgrade to from my 11 ram. I'm more interested in waiting for the diesel option to come out though. I like the hemi but 420lbs-ft of torque and 30 mpg really has my attention.

I would suggest trying to review trucks that are more budget minded. Like the SLT, or even the outdoorsman, which are more affordable.

Not really a Chrysler guy, I'm more towards GMC but this is an impressive truck and I will admit it's more stylish than the looks of the GMC Sierra / Chevy Silverado. What really got my attention was the SD card port. That's interesting and nice to have on board the vehicle.

i cant wait until the diesel is available, i currently drive a honda ridgeline, its great for me now, but the MPG is pretty awful, it sure will be nice to be able to almost double my current mpg. plus how i would configure it, the Ram website says it would be just over 30k. and if i can trade in my ridgeline, that would help a bit

Get this truck with the new A8 transmission with the V8 and you're looking at an EPA rating of 15/21 which is positive 2 points from the old 6 speed. WIN!

It's a shame that the vehicle on test was the 5.7 HEMI Longhorn, that interests me, and yet the review was all about the Pentastar, and leather trim aside the differences between say the Longhorn and regular Laramie (e.g. LED tail-lights, projector headlights, etc) weren't mentioned.

Yeah....well lets see as an owner of both Ford and Dodge are just better imho. My uncle had a 1500 sierra that was falling apart at 60k. My 04 f150 has 210k still runs like new, another uncle has an 06 f350 and an 03 excursion diesel both with 150k no problems. My grandpa has an 09 f150 with 150k no problems, like new as well as his 01 f350 same amount of miles, no problems- pulling 20k regularly. He also had an 04 escalade with the 6.0 and at 35k was in the shop all the time.

Ford also has a lot more torque which mater in towing ( more the 400 lbs ) and I'm driving a Ram 1500 and also a F-150 with the ecoboost , must say that I like the hemi sounds and for everyday driving I love the ram , but for towing I prefer the F-150 ! nice review ! I'm looking for the new Laramie Longhorn edition with the 5.7 with the 8 speed !

Good review, you can't get wrong with todays trucks. it's more about what brand you prefer than anything, I won't buy a GM truck, I test drove both 2015 Sierra and Silverado and they feel a generation behind compared to the Ram and the 2015 F150.

The Chrysler rep has no clue. The Pentastar in 2013 competed with the Ford 3.7. The Ecoboost is in a completely different Ball Park. The Ecoboost produces 151 ft lbs MORE TORQUE than their Pentastar. He's definitely in the wrong business.

Are you kidding The eco-boost has 365 hp In 420 pounds of torque Compared to the economy Chrysler engine Of 305 hp and 273 pounds of torque What a joke And then wants to try to talk about Reliability Unbelievable The eco-boost compares and beats the 5.7 L hemi This segment almost Made me unsubscribe to this channel....
