This starts with the climb from Deer Trail up over to Chutes Trail (not ridgeline). I was on a rented very XC oriented bike with a negative degree stem and flat bars. The bike is a carbon Scott Genius 730 650b rented from The Path Bike Shop in Tustin. It made for easy climbing, but didn't inspire much confidence on the downhills. I would love to have been on my XCL and ridden the Chutes Ridgeline Trail.
The endo towards the end was a an unclip-and-run-before-eating-shit kind of endo, so not real carnage. The bush did save me from going into the last little canyon at the bottom.

that looks like a fun ride, love that you didn't edit with music.

Definitely different from the rocky, chunder, ledge filled trails we have in the central Texas Hill County. It was a nice change, the climbs albeit it much more sustained are much easier than Texas so that was a nice change. Wish we had longer downhills...4 mins with minimal pedaling is about as long as we get. Yea, I change my video style up quite a bit - doing shorter "mash ups", lately with no music, just the trail sounds. Thanks!

The climb was long, but fairly easy for the most part, just a grind, not a technical climb at all, just a spinfest. It was worth it. I hit a few nice fast trails on the other side before this one and they were a lot of fun...you had to pay after play on those. The stem was probably 5 degree NEGATIVE and the bar was flat, so the cockpit was very forward. Yea, I've been meaning to check out you latest videos, the motos one definitely caught my attn. Thanks.

I would have flipped the stem; sometimes I wonder about some shops and their set-up. I had to make some changes to my buddy's rented Bronson too. As for my videos, my fav's are Doctor Park 1 & 2, Avery and West Side. I still have a couple more to upload too. Man, that was a fun trip.

did you ever use the lockout lever (in this video its in open the whole time). that rear shock locks out fully in the third click and woulda made the climbs feel like a hardtail. randomly pulled this video up from long ago ha

Looks like fun, but short! Was it worth the climb? Strange that Scott used 650b for XC, seems that's usually reserved for trail and AM bikes... I just returned from riding in CO (posted some videos, Doctor Park is an AWESOME ride), and a friend rented a SC Bronson (650B), which I actually liked.
