Dear Randy: Fagan does not use the sarge easter to decrease revs, he started using it cuz he injured his ring finger at the base of nail. And sarge easter does initially decrease revs but you gain them back as you become accustomed to it

The Viper is a tough pattern to play. We use our CBS Strategizer to help develop a strategy when playing different oil patterns. It is a great visual tool for league and tournament players.
@TreeBeardSomeCallMe11 жыл бұрын
I feel like these patterns are just plainly better than house patters. I used to be a 175 average bowler but found myself averaging 185 on a PBA pattern.

I've been needing to get new gear since the PD impounded my SUV with my 3 balls and bag/shoes etc. in the SUV. I was unable to get my gear back. Been strongly considering an 811CT. Any suggestions?

That sucks, but thanks for the answer. :) Now I may be able to find closure. Miss him so much. x

It is amazing how thesse guys play at that level considering the PBA patterns are 40+ pins more difficult than a house pattern. My admiration to all those great players. Example: Parker has 80 plus 300 games. But bowling a 300 game is very difficult even with a easy pattern.

i noticed a while back that fagan has one finger hole drilled a little closer to the thumb hole than the other is. does that help create revs. if not what does it do?

Anyone else noticed the hand behind the pins that pick up a knocked down pin at 5:25? I was quite surprised. The pin-ghost! Thought everything behind there was automated.

Right, but in his comment he mentioned "and my ball having little to no spin". The way it sounds he throws a stright, conventional grip ball and doesn't get much pin action or carry as a result of it. JMO

He's doing soccer on ESPN now. I miss him too, a lot of grumpy people hated the way he commentated the sport, but I always thought he injected a ton of enthusiasm and energy into a sport that... let's face it, is kinda skewing towards older people.

I am a total noob in bowling. So there is oil on the bowling lane? And the type of oil makes the ball behave differently?

that announcer is brutal. I don't think he knows enough about the disappointments of bowling at this level to be less harsh. Randy knows so he still calls bad shots and games. But with more understanding. He needs more respect.

I never understood Fagan's adjustments on the left lane on this show. I think trying to go to loft was a bad choice, just because of one high shot. A ball change and feet adjustment would've been a better choice I think.

The part that struck me as odd is you usually see the loser's family among the crowd clapping politely at the end of the title match, but at 1:06:18 as Brad is high-fiving friends, you can see Mika's family slip away. Not a big deal, just a funny thing the cameras inadvertently caught.
@user-os1zd6gm6j11 жыл бұрын
You obviously aren't a bowler and don't understand the difficulty in making it to the highest level of a sport and succeeding. It has nothing to do with the physical item that is won, but what it represents. A lifetime of dedication and hard work, will to succeed, and mental toughness to handle the pressure of competing against the toughest in the world, all the while dealing with camera's and fans in your face. It is hard to do well in bowling at an amatuer level, let alone the PBA.

The pins are spinning from vibration. This is poor construction of these lanes ! The pin deck needs better vibration support.
