I recommend getting a 125 over a 50. Sure you have to have a license and insure the 125, but the extra power means the world in commute. I'm glad Yamaha is improving the technology of this scooter without compromising the vintage look. Minus the paint, my 2006 vino looks nearly identical to the newest version. Keep it up Yamaha!

Excellent demonstration of the Vino in action. It's a fun little scooter. I do wish that Yamaha still made the 125cc version though.

The CARBURETED Vino 125 was indeed an excellent scooter. Plenty of load capacity and easy to maintain. I put over 36,000 miles on one, mostly at full throttle, and I weigh 240.

Yamaha Vino engine is better than Honda Metropolitan, because Vino has a 3V engine!

Fuel injection SUCKS big time. Nothing but a computer on wheels. This scooter also has a load capacity of well under 200 pounds. The Honda Metropolitan (which unfortunately has that crappy, trouble prone and super expensive to fix fuel injection as well, at least has a load capacity of around 300 pounds.
