There is absolutely no reason to remove half that stuff to get the front strut out

I tried not removing it but couldn't get the new Bilstein 6100 series in so I have to remove the upper ball joint and sway bar link. Didn't remove the caliper and lower ball joint.

I just put in the rancho quick lift struts and all I had to disconnect was the upper control arm and sway links and then u have more then enough room to get the old one out and new one in. 15 minutes of work on each side including strut removal and replacement

I got the beefier 6112 front shocks for my Sierra 1500 with a 4.5" CST suspension lift. I run 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers with no rub. Rock solid front end!

Which stage kit did you get and how much for the installation cost?
@bigalinbc4075
@bigalinbc4075 4 ай бұрын
@@jamesmarsh5824 Not sure which stage. The kit came with the front crossmembers, the upper control arm drops, the sway bar drops, the steering extension and the shock spacers. Blocks for the rear end. Got the 2 front skid plates upgrade. I live in Canada so installation was expensive. About 2000$. Only issue I had was the bolt for the steering extension kept backing out making the steering loose. A bit of locktite took care of that. My wheels are 18" Fuel and they don't have a big offset so the tires don't stick out of the wheel well. It was everything I wanted. Total height of the truck is about 6' 7" . I had to keep it under 6'10" cuz of the parkade for my apartment.

I find it hard to believe that snap ring will hold up long term to the coil spring pressure. Any input from someone who has these on their truck?

Honestly man it could be a handful of things. Some worn constant velocity joints, worn upper strut mounts or just defective struts in general, steering gear problems, a cracked CV joint, worn out tie rod, loose hubcaps, incorrect tire inflation. I know this isn't a huge help, but I feel like when I have issues like yours it always turns into a day project of trial and error sh*t. Best of luck bro!

@@takeoffmediahouseprod.7087 turned out to be an alignment issue. Still getting a rattle noise, but I feel it has something to do with putting it at the maximum ride height setting on the strut.

@@michaelortiz2557there is a video where a guy had to put a spacer under the top nut to stop the rattle. I guess the top hat bolt doesn’t tighten enough on the new shocks.

In their defense it's a simple Google search, but yeah for completion's sake it'd be cool if they did include those.
