Nice video guys. Just to clarify, the driver side IS the one you want for this application. The driver side of the 5.3/6.2 GM trucks is the dirty/PCV side.

ok what is the connector from intake to the valve cover for? freash air? does it have a one way check valve on it?

2:55 5-7K from J&L seems absurd, I have this installed and do it every 1K-2K max. Didn't realize you could run a passenger side version along with it, but I didn't see one on the website, or on J&L's website. I did see they now make a can extension to go up to 6oz vs 3oz.

I bought one( drivers side) from speedwow looked the same but a lot cheaper. I can’t find a passenger side either. 17 Silverado 5.3 gas.

Couldn't you just reverse mount this model on the other side the same way or are the tubes not the right length? I cant find a passenger side product from them either.

The upr true catch can is way better. It vents the valve covers and has check valves in lines. 😂

I came to the same conclusion and emailed American Trucks, and they had no info and were surprised too, so I emailed J&L directly and this was their response, "Hey Jacob, Thanks for reaching out. The passenger side on those trucks is the CCV side, AKA the clean side. In our experience the clean side kits on the majority of vehicles collect little to nothing in comparison to the PCV, or dirty side kits. The only time we really saw any type of collection is if the vehicle is used to road race, or in the truck world tows a heavy load all day every day (think like a work truck hooked to a trailer 24/7). Because of this, we don't offer a clean side kit for most of our applications.

As far as I'm aware, you cannot put one of these oil separators on if you have a CORSA air intake installed. Enlighten me or concur.

I don’t see why not. The hoses for the oil separator don’t use the same hose as the intake

I have a 2018 chevy silverado w/5.3. I have been skeptical of getting this. Is it really necessary? If I don't put one on is it really going to damage my engine over time? Or is this mainly for the earlier generation trucks? Maybe they corrected this issue later on in production?

If you put one on then look at all the nasty oil in the can after one oil change you’ll see why people use them.
