How do you access that sensor? for the life me I cannot get enough room to remove it. I have the o2 sensor socket and cannot get enough room or leverage to remove it.

Dumb question, does this car have just two O2 sensors or 4? Is it only bank 1 upstream and lowstream sensors or bank 2 as well? I have the same engine as you in the video 1.6 gdi kia soul

I cannot find a downstream o2 sensor on my 2019 Kia soul. Where is it located? I checked the entire exhaust.

To the TOUCANIC got a code P2191. I was recommended to do a full fuel Cleaning system including the injectors at Valvoline. I did that the code was gone.After two days the engine light appeared.Same code P2191. Was doing research. Probable causes a faulty upstream o2sensor or bad GDI fuel Filter. What is your mechanical advice?

I had serious doubt that a bad O2 sensor would cause a car to run so bad, until I met a guy with a 2016 Kia Soul with a max speed of 25 MPH. After unplugging the grey connector 2nd from the top, he was able to drive it like it was meant to be driven, up to 50 or 60 MPH. I hope replacing the sensor does the trick so it can be plugged in without driving like a slug with a clogged butt hole.

Hey my friend, I'm hoping you happen to see this.I have a 2018.Kia Soul she threw P303 code so i.knew to replace the coil pack and plug. Actually changed them all out. First my wife said it didn't have the get up and go it once did.only 50.k mille's on engine.so.after changing them i drove it about 15 miles and smoth as a kitten. She took it to work and turned around because she was skipping and jumping again. Im baffled here .any idea what im up against now.. sure hope you catch this and can help me with this. Could it be the O2 sensor.? Thanks Michael

I have a Topdon, guess it would show everything you're talking about.. Truly blows me away because first it was a P303 replaced all plugs and coils and after driving it to thinking the Check engine light would go off in time. Then the next morning throwing 4 codes.. Funny how none of you show how to remove the sensor clip. My 2019 Rio is NOT a black easy clip you squeeze apart. It’s a white plastic connector that will NOT come out to unscrew the upstream sensor. None of you seem to have issues with the clips.

The 1.6L is more complicated. Downstream is wired through the floor board. Upstream is inaccessible.

Push in on the outer tab, makes it release out on the inner tab like \ then | then /, black top connector has 6 wires, grey middle connector has 4 wires, and tricky bottom connector may have only 2 wires. I'm sure you got it by now if it's been 2 months.
