2014 Audi A6 Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement

Today we discovered a weird humming sound coming from the driver-side wheel. We determined the cause of the sound was a bad hub or wheel bearing. In this video, we took off the wheel, rotor, and hub to replace the parts. We determined that it was the hub because the brakes were unaffected and it didn't sound like a brake squeal or grind. Parts were bought from rockauto.

man just finished this DIY on an 08 A4 and the hub was corrosion welded onto the suspension assembly... mini grinder, heat, full can of WD-40, and 5 and a half hours later its done

Further, it may leave you with half of the bearing still attached to the steering knuckle. Instead, leave the bolts partially attached and hammer them from the rear. Definitely take the video with a grain of salt as you know more than I do. I just like to get the content out there to help people who may be in a similar situation not knowing much about it. I appreciate you sharing the actual specs and bit sizes. And yes, improper diy is the name of the channel for this reason. Appreciate the feedback!
