I have a 2011 s3 8p dsg with 217.000 kilometers! I bought it with 42,000 km in 2014 and immediately made it stage 1! I've done almost 175,000 kilometers without it giving me a single problem or a check engine light even once! There are no bad cars there are bad owners! All cars have their problems that if you pay attention to them will reward you! Nice video greetings from Greece!

Sorry, but I think you're being way too critical about the car. 9 years old is not old. This is the problem as is with society, we have become obsessed with new and now.

I own a 2015 S3 with over 300,000km that's been my daily driver for 8yrs. Most of the wear items have been replaced; water pump, fuel pump, carbon cleaning, coolant crossover tubes. Change your fluids religiously every 7,8k and these cars are very solid.

I have to agree with the statement below about being to critical it’s not an old Audi and 60,000 is not high mileage especially for the age of the car if you think 8 years is old for a car and 60,000 is high mileage then we must coming from a different place only somebody who was posh / snob would only say 60,000 is high mileage and 8 years is old for a car we do have to remember this car finished in 2020 so is it an old car ? I know what l would say. The S3 is a brilliant car for the money just make sure it’s been fully serviced and has not been in an accident and if you can’t find a good S3 then see if you can get a golf R as as they are the same car.
@mikegaming38263 күн бұрын
yeah but the status is different though and an audi will always keep their value better than a golf r

Watched 5 min and will have to turn off 60k miles high miles 9 years old, old audi s3 This is what's wrong with most people everyone wants new cars which is bad for the environment and also e everyine wants to look rich but ain't got a pot to piss in. I have a 2012 s3 8p 150k miles and still drives flawless and instead of spending 500 600 a month on a car I would rather pocket that money and spend it on holidays with the mrs and my son. Keeping older cars on the road is the way to go Mrs has a 2014 q3 110k miles drives perfect too

I like these but few things put off. It attracts every boy racer, people who drive them drive like bell ends and they are known for getting stolen. Living in Birmingham makes all these very relatable to the s3 and golf r

The 5 Doors get stolen way more often. Getaway vehicles, just like the S4's I find the golfR's are more frequently (overly) tuned in comparison to S3's. The s3 seem to mature better.

How does this compare to your seat Leon you mentioned? For handling on b roads and acceleration? Is the 4 wheel drive system worth it? Or does it hinder the car? Looking for a everyday driver that I can still have some fun in at times TIA
@ParagonCarsLondon2 жыл бұрын
The leon is a little bit more fun as it just as it's more involving e.g. it's not point and shoot. In very cold damp weather/snow the s3 is better though as you can't put the power down in the cupra until 4th gear haha. overall though i think the cupra is generally more fun.

Never heard a single person, in reality or online. claim a 9 year old car with 66k miles would be a "nightmare" lmaoooooooo
@xPlayer12344 Жыл бұрын
I'm looking to buy one in the next month or so but I'm not sure what mileage is considered to be too high for these types of cars. I'm looking at cars around 50-60k miles and was wondering if that's too high for these sort of cars. Also what are the common problems to look for when going to view the car for purchase I know that the haldex system can be a nightmare if its not maintained properly but are there any other glaring things I need to look out for? I've owned 1 car for the past 6 years and worked my ass off to save up for a decent car and didn't wanna screw this up
@ParagonCarsLondon Жыл бұрын
Only other thing to look out for is thermostat housing leak. for 50-60k miles you want to make sure it's got full service history and ideally had the spark plugs changed twice. The engines and gearboxes themselves are very reliable, you just have to service properly.

Have got one. Also 3 door. In black Bought it @60k now @ 90k miles. I love it. Yet is truly a maintenance nightmare. Haldex oils and updates, intake cams (and magnets) twice, injector and chain. It also has gone into start stop modus on multiple occasions in efficiency mode when coasting (also feels strange for the type of car i.m.o) for longer periods. Comfort is the better mode and just as economical. Also being a S-car regular maintainance is more expensive. While the inspections and services are mainly the same as any other A3. Interior is solid except for the chrome gearbox flaps. Seats hold up very well, also compared to other VAG's. Steering is indeed by design too heavy in dynamic. My car itself still feels solid. It's pretty stiff, the bushes, shocks and springs seem of great quality. The paint isn't great. Some wierd placed stonechips on the side and roof. The snappy 6-speed is really nice. Yet from standstill the 7 speed is better and smoother. The 6speed can be a bit jerky at very low speeds. My car is extremely well maintained. Yearly oilchanges every 3.5-5k, always v-power and always clean. I rarely use it's full potential or dynamic mode. The ea888 is great but definitely not bullitproof. Options I would search for. -B&O -Supersport seats (I think come stock with heating?) -cruise control (most have them anyway) -18" wheels, preferably the S3 gunmetal gray ones. 19" are too uncomfortable. I actually prefer my car on wintertires over summertires for comfort (on 18") . -audi+ MMI, for bigger screen -Red calipers. The hold up very nice. -Black headliner. -Pre facelift
