Yes we are aware the Parking brake didn’t disengage due to not having my seatbelt on. We were in a closed off lot and didn’t have intents to actually drive so it slipped or mind. Unfortunately that was our mess up. We apologize but if you’re wondering how to disengage it you’d need your seatbelt on! Thanks for understanding!

To get your passenger side mirror to dip when reversing: put car in reverse, adjust the mirror with the control to the angle you like, leave the switch selected on the passenger mirror. When you put the car back in D, it will tilt back to how it was.
@RatchetWrenches3 жыл бұрын
Interesting I’m going to try that tomorrow!

nice, i thought that was implemented on newer models, i have an 8V too. Audi lent me a 2022 A4 when i dropped my Sline off for some maintenance, the A4’s passenger mirror dips when i reversed and it went back to normal when i put it in drive. i was thinking that it was smart and was like “why they didn’t put it in my car?!?” update: mine does it, automatically dips the passenger mirror but it doesn’t go back to normal until i put the dial back to centre. i wouldn’t want to keep flipping the dial every time i reverse to get it to dip though, be using the dial too much - don’t want to wear it out & brake it. the feature may be on a newer mmi update though i would assume.

Here's one you might not know? Deactivate keyless entry by pressing the lock button on the key, then straight after press the lock sensor on the door handle. The the little red light will blink several times if you've done it right and keyless entry will reactivate next time you hit unlock with the key. It prevents thieves who use the signal interception method.

Launch control prerequisites (or it won’t work): 1. Transmission must be warm 2. Steering wheel must not be turned even the slightest 3. Traction control off 4. Auto Start /Stop off 5. You have 5 seconds after beginning the rev to release the brake or else it will time out and you’ll have to start over. If any of those are not done the car will engage the clutch and squat when your feet are on the brake and throttle at the same time. 5 years with a 2017 S3

Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I went from a 2015 S3 (bumped up to Stage 2+) to a 2018 RS3 (Stage 1+ currently). Absolutely loved the S3 but the RS3 just has that much much more. Wanted to mention that the headlight washers are primarily used for winter driving when your front end is covered with snow and slush. Also, you would normally used the washers as the car is moving so the spray doesn't shoot up over your hood. Try it at 45 mph and you'll see what I mean. Washers are fairly standard in Europe. Not sure why exactly. I was stationed in Germany for 15 years and most of my cars there had headlight washers. Rear fog light is an awesome must use feature in heavy rain, fog, or snow. Makes a huge difference. I want to be seen! Very useful feature.

On European models, pressing and holding the lock button on the key fob will close all windows and roof. The rear fog light is to be used in Europe only with a visibility less than 150 ft. Usually in order for me to disengage the handbrakes, I'd have to press the foot break and then the handbrake. Another feature is; if you open the driver side of the door when the vehicle is in motion, It'll stop automatically by engaging the handbrake. Haven't tried any other door since it is just me. As for the wipers, I usually move them physically with my hand and move them forward. That works seamlessly. I'm aware of the other tips through playing around on my own lol. I usually use sports mode for that boost at times and also when overtaking. Drive in D and then shift to S and you'll overtake faster. You should show them how to shift to M (manual) mode as well. That is something i discovered on my own as well. When in D, simply shift the gear to the side and it'll go in M. Here you can shift up or down to go in a higher or lower gear. Of course there's voice command and cruise control and the paddle shifts you can shed some light on in the next video.

Excellent tips. The wiper thing is not just for servicing if you live someplace where you get sleet or snow and you have to leave your car outside you can put it in that position and then lift them off the windshield so they won’t be frozen onto your windshield. And I could see using the headlight washer if you’ve been driving around where there’s any kind of dirt or mud or some thing and now it’s night and you realize you don’t have nearly the illumination you should have. 👍

You’ll love it! You’re right though it constantly just has another surprise around the corner hahah. But unfortunately owning an Audi is pricey. I wouldn’t know the exact prices since I do the work on my own but when I worked for VW which is basically the same car for a regular 15k service you’ll look at around $500-600 or so. But it all depends really

it is not much more expensive than a regular a3 ~ at least here in germany
@orangenblk Жыл бұрын
Maintenance costs? Yea pretty high. Just do your homework in researching Audi service station. I got a quote to replace the low/high beam HID Xenon bulbs and they quote me....390 USD. Two hours labor was in the estimate. Checked it myself and looks super easy to do. Online using the bulb information, I found the exact bulbs/mfgr for 25 each. 100% gouge IMHO, citing the over-used terms "supply chain issues" and higher costs.

If you do launch control again, hold the break, floor the gas and it should put it at 3500-4000 rpm then wait for full boost and send

Do you think launch controls is bad for the vehicle
@RatchetWrenches3 жыл бұрын
It’s not necessarily bad for it but it does put a lot of strain on the car, (axles, engine, trans etc) so you should be cautious of all that and mileage mindful to see how worn out everything is.

Its because you have xenon headlights (I know, halogen headlights have'em too)... Thats the reason, why you have headlight washer and it is very good feature on every car, you would see the difference between non washable headlights and yours, when they're dirty, in europe it's required, when you have xenon..🤓🙈But, very good video!☺️PS: Sorry for my grammar..

If you hold down the ESC for about 5 second, it completely disengages traction and stability control. And from there your Launch Control will allow you to increase the rpm’s to 3,500 rpms. Definitely gives a harder, robust launch compared to 2,100 rpms!

Yeah on the s3’s it’s there, I’ve noticed with Audi they’ll use the same designs for parts and only equip it in certain models, like for exmaple I have the nav button on my wheel and center console and don’t actually have navigation. So the same goes for the rear handles, you have the same design yet it’s not functional. It’s stupid but it saves them money in the end to utilize the same parts
