2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: Startup, Exhaust, Test Drive and Review

Today I check out the 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray! This has a full red leather interior, 7 speed manual and powerful V8 engine. Fantastic looking car with sharp exterior lines. Upscale interior with aluminum, leather and great fit and finish. Smooth shifting and has tons of power with a great sound! This is a fun car to drive and very driver focused! It's awesome that the roof can come off and be stored in the back of the car, that makes it that much more fun with the "top down" experience!

every car show i went when this car came out in 2014, kids were all clamoring to sit in it. when i sat in it, that huge nose and massive V8 i was giggling like a little kid thinking "this is awesome"

we used to get these in all the time where i worked, loved them every time i drove one its a shame the ones we got were de tuned 14 HP (fleet corvettes are de tuned slightly for better longevity) still was so fun to drive ans very very stable at 100 MPH (dont ask me how i know) also the 6 speed auto from 2014 was not terrible but 7 speed was the way to go with the new 8 speed i would say 8 speed is the way to go. good review man keep it up

Honda4RideRed z06 has to be insane, im sure the new 488 GTB will keep up with it or even beat it but the fact remains theres only a hand full of production cars that can keep up with the new Z06

+justin bouche The Corvette is probably the best bang for your buck sports car around. That z06 is definitely a hard car to beat. I'd love to find a 488 to compare to the 458. Some ppl don't like it being turbocharged, others love it.

Honda4RideRed the performance level of the 488 from the twin turbos is definitely a huge bonus, but lower max RPM and less of a "revvy" behavior comes from turbo unfortunately. i think he performance gains are worth it though.

+justin bouche the 488 is reaching hypercar territory in performance. I've heard its amazing. But its hard to match the sound and feel of an N/A Ferrari.

Not that it matters, but looks like it has the performance exhaust from GM because of the big chrome tips. Should be 460hp/465torque. I bought my 2014 Z51 thinking it had the performance exhaust and it didn't. It sucked lol so i did a muffler delete and X pipe and its way loud now

@Yeesack Films Maybe in the US they can go for 28K but in Canada prices start at 50K and up. Add 15% tax in my province so you are looking at a minimum of 60K. Very few will go below 50K. I just got a 2016 Stingray 2LT for 60K taxes included and it was the cheapest with all the extra options with it. By the way this review with the drive view and exhaust sounds is one of the best. Thumbs up!!!!

Not even close. I don't like the auto at all in the Corvette. Manual is the way to go for this car. Not many torque converter auto's are actually responsive in sportscars

Nope. The C7 Corvette never had a 6 speed. It's only the 7 speed manual or 8 speed auto. The C6 Corvette had the 6 speed manual
