2014 Chevrolet Silverado V8 Spark Plug Replacements

This time, Greg And Mitchell change out the Spark Plugs and Spark Plug Wires on Mitchell's Father's 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Using a topside creeper, we were able to change out the plugs from above. This is a task that would otherwise be much more difficult to do as the engine is placed relatively far back in the engine bay (to accommodate the 6.6L duramax used in the larger trucks). This particular truck has the 5.3L V8, but the process is exactly the same with the 6.2L V8. I'd imagine it would also be applicable to the 6.0L Vortec, though we don't have one of the era to check.
The main challenge here is the plug on Cylinder #8, this one is tucked into the backside of the engine bay where the passenger footwell is located. This means you have to be pretty creative about the tools you use to get a hold of it. If you're planning to reuse the wires, we wouldn't recommend using a pair of pliers to pull them out as we did on this one as it damages the wire.
