Usually what mainly cause this is a vacuum leak is located in your Pcv valve that is integrated into your valve cover. You could also have a bad PCV valve hose or a crankshaft seal. That’s gone bad, but normally a bad crankshaft seal will make a loud, whining noise.
@johnnyher9003 Жыл бұрын
To check to see if you have a bad PCV valve integrated onto your valve cover all you have to do is put your finger over it and normally it’ll make a whistling sound or you could pull out your dipstick and it will allow air to be sucked into your engine those two things will tell whether or not you have a bad PCV valve that is located on your valve cover

@StansAuto833 жыл бұрын
You can disconnect your negative terminal for 30 seconds that will clear the code. Also you spray the cleaner on the inside of the mass airflow sensor you’ll see little strips that look like wire and your spray on them. Then let it dry and then you can put it back in.

@@StansAuto83 cause you plugged the Maf sensor back in and it jumped up instantly, just wanted to make sure
@sharkythesharkdogg97322 жыл бұрын
@@tylerm71 It is most likely related. I've observed it on a few Cruzes I've worked on, actually. The high speed fan activation is a result of the ECU losing communication with sensors it needs to operate correctly. It's probably about to throw a code. When that happens, it turns on the cooling fan as a safety measure. The last time I observed something similar was actually faulty wiring going to the boost pressure sensor on a Chevy Cruze. You can get the same behavior on lots of similar vehicles using similar engine software principles, not just GM.
@Dea7hWarran72 жыл бұрын
When that happens, just disconnect the battery for 3-10 minutes, reconnect it, and it’ll fix itself.

Even as an armchair DIY, I am not convinced that this guy really 'fix' the car. He did not show the symptom, he then slap on a new MAF. Changing out a MAF sensor is easy for anyone, but Why? He used a lot of common words, even I would despise his technical skill, like running rough, like after slaped on the new MAF, the car 'sound better' etc. Anyway, I would not take my car to this guy to fix.
