You can have 2014 Mitsubishi I Miev for less than $15,500 and they boost the charge to 112 miles per charge. They also made improvements in the inside.

This little squirt is getting a lot of Positive reviews just about everywhere! Was considering a Volt, but if they increase the range to at least 125 miles for the next model, I think I'm in.

The Volt is a great car. Pretty good looking! And the volt does excell fast.

So I heard this car is not being made anymore. I know nothing about cars so I'm wondering, is it still good to get a car like this if it isn't being made anymore or would a different car be better?
@AWildBard7 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering the same thing. It actually sounds like a good car for the cost. It might be the best of the low-cost ev's

They created the Cheverolet Bolt 2017....to replace it. I hear it goes like 200+ miles per charge

How do you compare this car with the Leaf? They both cost about the same and the leases are about comparable. The Leaf is a bit bigger...your thoughts...
@thedriversseat11 жыл бұрын
The Leaf is bigger so if that's a buying criteria, go for the Nissan. We like the way the Spark EV drives better and it makes a lot of sense for an EV. At the end of the day, it really depends on the deal that Nissan or Chevy are offering. If all things were equal (such as price), I'd buy the Leaf.

Can you review a 2014 kia optima sx turbo? Im looking to buy one. I want your opinion. Im looking to buy a used 2011 kia optima sx turbo and trade in my gas guzzling 2009 loaded toyota venza v6 awd. Im a honda toyota guy and never have bought a kia. Consumer reports says the turbo is beloe average but i tweeted them and they give no specifics why. Please help me.

Id rather have this Spark than a Tesla...

Not to mention the superior battery technology.

It's not a bad choice, but there's no rapid charging on the Spark. Even though it has a separate plug that the Germans lobbied for called the CCS standard. Those plugs are as numerous as there are Hydrogen stations compared to CHAdeMO which has over 600 stations at this point. Those stations serve the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, Nissan LEAF and Kia Soul EV in the US. Another uncompetitive standpoint for the Spark EV which makes its lack of Rapid Charging a bigger sting is that it can only charge at 3.3kWh. That's pretty limiting. The automotive standard has already moved to 6.6kWh which is twice as fast to charge the car up. It would charge the Spark EV in around 3 hours instead of 7 hours.
@manoman010 жыл бұрын
toyotaprius79 ...that means it can charge roughly 70-80% of its full capacity within 20-30 minutes.

wrong, DCFC is an option on the Spark

looks good , but i don't like how chevy took back and held there battery technolgy in the 90's with there ev1, they crushed them all too. greedy bastards
@UncleSiam10 жыл бұрын
Laff... they totally ignored the hottest selling Nissan LEAF. The biggest news has been the LEAF, the luxury models are icing. The Spark EV is just GM trying to catch up. The only saving grace of the Spark is its high torque and lighter body. It's still an electric hack on a econobox. They were even trying to compare their Hybrid (Volt) to the LEAF when they first came out.

The leaf sucks... Tesla is the way to go
@UncleSiam10 жыл бұрын
Robsta511 Tesla is doing great things BUT until they can make a better car than the Nissan LEAF at the same price point, the argument is moot. Have you seen what Nissan does with $100,000 price tag? www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=nissan+gtr+price
@thomasklein42657 жыл бұрын
The 2016 Volt has 53 miles of actual range, and most leafs get around 70-80, so it seems like a understandable comparison.
@thomasklein42657 жыл бұрын
I drove a leaf, it was a boring ride, handled like crap, and just so so acceleration for a ev, the Spark Ev was at least fun
@mattb119510 жыл бұрын
How about the Volt? I mean this is like 2 Volts! My head hurts.
@t43610 жыл бұрын
Volt relies on gas at some point, green people can't stand it still uses gas at all. I like the Volt/ELR for that reason as it's practical to charge and still leave that bubble you are trapped in for Ev range around your normal commute. You still can run Ev mode and not ever use gas besides the fact when it turns the engine on every now and then to burn off that gas you are storing for extended periods of time.

If this was a toyota, it would sell like hotcakes. Unfortunately it is a chevy. People who generally buy chevys do not want to buy a eco friendly vehicle. I drove a Volt and it is a great car, but once again it is a Chevy.
@thedriversseat10 жыл бұрын
It's actually selling quite well in large cities like San Francisco. Americans in general just don't like small cars, but who does? Europeans drive small cars because gas/diesel is $8 per gallon. Double our gas prices and you'll see just how much Americans will love compact cars.
