10 years ago today. What a game. That go-ahead TD Illinois State scores late still gives me the chills (that's also when I turn off the replay haha). What a fun run that was. Roberson and O'Shaughnessy were fantastic in those playoffs.

As of now, NDSU has won 5 in a row, and many fans in the area think that they are dv1 ready, as demonstrated in signs in the playoffs like "bring on bama "and such being stuck in the band wagon. My own family has, and I have also. The truth is, from a strictly football perspective, it makes sense now, but you also gotta think about competition. They have more championships than losses in the last five years. Don't get me wrong, that takes talent, but also there is not that much talent in their division. Another point to consider is that they got lucky with a good recruiting class. But they are missing something that big schools have: constant recruiting. Schools like Alabama and LSU have kids dreaming nationwide to go to those school. NDSU has SD ND and MN kids saying that. Bison fans think that the Bison are untouchable, and if they went division 1, they would be in for a rude awakening.
