I love the fact you're making this gt500 more street car friendly. It's good that people see this and understand that when you're talking about a street car every last hp and every last tenth isn't always what makes the decisions. You can have a very nice driving and fun street car that can still get down at the track by going with a setup like what you're going with. Everyone wants a huge Whipple and an auto and all the hp till they find out the car drives like shit and isn't fun anymore outside of the drag strip. I think keeping the manual and going tvs is absolutely ideal for a street car and judging by your actions with this car you agree. Good job.

Re: throttle bodies. I’m not sure about the newest vmp throttle bodies but if I’m not mistaken everyone else was using the stock ford actuators to operate their big ass throttle bodies and they all had issues like this where the actuator wasn’t strong enough to hold the tb open. There are a couple people who lost motors because the Tb did some sort of reset calibration at WOT. Honestly the primary benefit of turbos and centrifugal superchargers imho is compressing the air before it gets to the throttle body so you can use a stock throttle body

Twin screws are more efficient than roots style blowers so I dont see you making more power or even equal power by swapping. Also the reason the TVS is easier to rotate by hand VS the Whipple is due to the fact a twin screw actually compresses air inside itself so there is more resistance to rotation as you compress the air while rotating it.

If your car is a street car first and foremost go with the gen3r and don't look back. They can still make ALOT of power but they feel 100x better on the street and more fun to drive in normal street driven rpm ranges.
