Don't understand why Harley Haters are always on these videos talking smack. Oh I know why! Because Harley is the king of motorcycles on Planet Earth.

+Old Soldier It's always about wanting to be heard. He's voiced this same opinion so many times I think he just cuts and pastes. And tomcata. I've got the Road Star Midnight Silverado and also the 2015 Limited CVO and whatever you're smoking I want some. There is no way, NO WAY, the Road Star can Smoke all Twin Cams. And how about idling in hot weather smart arse DEAD. Carborated is crap at idle in hot weather. So rather that trying to puff your chest about the great bike you own, what's the last cruiser with bags Yamaha developed? Oh they are dropping, no more roadstar, no more venture. So how about just share what a great job yamy is doing. I own one and I saved and am quite happy with the CVO Mr . Barrister!!!

I have had one since November, 5000 miles on it now. I am 6' 1" tall and can wear a ball cap at 65 MPH without losing it. that vent is amazing! IT WORKS GREAT! NO complaints with this bike what so ever! No wind noise and this bike is such a pleasure to ride. LOVE IT !!!!!

David Cundiff Thanks for the reply. I ended up purchasing one in early July. I've only got about 1000 miles on it, but I'm loving it. I am getting just a little bit of turbulence, but that could be my helmet's fault. The vent cuts down on the turbulence for me, but it doesn't completely eliminate it. I may try some fork-mounted wind deflectors.

I have to stop watching these Harley Limited videos. I wonder if I will ever be able o afford one at this 3rd act of my life. Been on the Harley Demo rides before. Read a lot of Harley bashing B.S. on KZbin, but I don't see anything wrong with these bikes. Not yet anyway. If I had the money, I would buy one today! All of you take care riding, Harley, Indian, Victory, Triumph or the Japanese bikes. Just enjoy yourself.

No mention as to why Harley had to go to liquid cooling on this bike, with not just one radiator, cooling fans and lots of plumbing under the gas tank and a thermostat and an electric water pump.Cause all Twin Cam engines, produced from 1999 to the present, run extremely not, with temps of 250 degrees or more not uncommon, due to the FATALLY FLAWED DESIGN of the Twin Cam engines. The stock oil pump only puts out 3-8 psi of oil pressure at idle, almost nothing, and Harley had to put in a rear cylinder kill sensor so that at idle, the rear cylinder isn't even running, can you believe that? Still need a rear cylinder heat shield, even with two radiators, to keep the rider's pants leg from catching on fire, which has happened and more than 300,000 Harley owners are suing THE MOTOR COMPANY, in a class-action lawsuit, in California, cause of suffering 2nd and 3rd degree leg burns from these heat monster. The flywheels are not even bolted together, just pressed together, with a 400 ton press at the factory and will come out of true, and causing the pinion shaft and primary drive shaft to wobble out of true, which the max run out should not exceed 0.001" and these bikes are running out at 0.003", or more and start to destroy the oil pump rotor and bushings, shaft bushings and bearings, cam shaft bearings and eventual CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILUR occurs. The older Harley engines, with a single cam like the Shovel head, Pan head and Evos, all had a crank pin bolt and nut torqued down to hold the flywheels in true, but not the Twin Cams, Harley went cheap on them. Only solution, is when you buy the bike brand new, is to tear the engine completely apart and to send the flywheel assembly to a performance, specialty shop to have them dynamically trued on a truing stand, have them plugged and welded and to within a max shaft run out of no more than 0.001" or less. Also, all Twin cams have two silent chain drives, with PLASTIC cam chain tensioner, which rub against a METAL chain and are meant to be periodically inspected and replaced as they wear out, to create more work and more revenue income for Harley. Failure to inspect and periodically change out the tensioners, at 3/32" of wear, will lead to their breaking apart and then you have METAL TO METAL contact and the metal shavings are inducted into the oil pump and into the crankcase and cylinder walls and CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE will occur.Imagine that happening at highway speed and your engine seizes and your rear wheel locks up and your cratered oil pump starts to spew out hot, 250 degree oil over your rear tire, what a thrill ride you will have till you come to a sudden crash. Also, with two radiators, being placed outboard, imagine the first time you drop the bike, you will have to replace a radiator, a cooling fan and a thermostat or an electric water pump. Metric bike, V twins, only have one radiator, and it's tucked out of the way, between the wishbone, down tubes, and if the bike is laid down, nothing happens to the radiator, and no coolant is spilt all over the hot pavement. There are many more inherent problems with the TWIN CAM engines, whether, they are 88s, 96 or 96B, or 103s or 110 CVOs. All the same design, and it's not good for the consumer, I can tell you that, but, good for Harley.CAVEAT EMPTOR-LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

+tomcata1467 You have no idea what you are talking about. The engineering was done for future EPA regulations and so they could get more power and torque out of the engine. I own this bike and it is the sweetest I have ever rode. All the moronic failures you mention are falsehoods never heard of.... You could have brought up the death wobble which was real and had nothing to do with the power plant, but, there again, that has been resolved through good engineering. Why not just say you hate Harley and let it go at that?

I guess if I made a bad buy, I would be saying the same thing you are doing, defending it as a marvelous, piece of 21st century engineering. Tell that to the 300,000 Harley owner of TWIN CAMS who have filed a class-action lawsuit against THE MOTOR COMPANY, for a defective product liability. It's in the court system. You are just as entitled to your opinion, same as all, but, not to your own facts. You can see everything on YOU TUBE videos posted about the problems with the TWIN CAM design. You even admit to the death wobble, which would concern most bikers, who road a lot. I guess yours sits in the garage and are a weekend warrior who puts very few miles on your bike, but, brag about having Harley, good for you. I forgot about the death wobble, that the California Highway Patrol has so well established on their YOU TUBE VIDEO of the death wobble, I could go on and on, but, don't have the time or inclination to do so. I don't hate Harleys, just the TWIN CAMS. Wish I still had my slow but, reliable, 1992 Harley Fat boy, 13400cc, EVO, single cam engine. The only great Harleys produced today are the XL1200 Sportster which still incorporate the EVO design and are very reliable. I smoke Twin Cams all day long, with my Roadstar 1602cc0, with TWIN CAMS which are gear driven, not with two silent chains with little PLASTIC TENSIONER rubbing against a METAL CHAIN. My bike has 4 valves per cylinder, to Harley's 2 valves per cylinder. My bike has 2 spark plugs per cylinder to Harley's one spark plug per cylinder. Mine is air cooled, not outboard radiators to bust up if the bike is dropped. My bike has a final belt drive, reliable with over 76k on the speedometer, and all I do is change the oil, do my 10k service and blow and go, by even the 110 CVOs. It's a soft tail with 32 degree rake 48 degree single crank pin, 45 lb. solid flywheel and pumps out 38psi of oil pressure at idle and never heats up my legs on the hottest day. Your bike pumps out 3-8psi sitting at idle and needs a rear cylinder heat shield to protect your family jewels from frying and that is with two radiators even. And your rear cylinder shuts off at idle to keep the heat down. Mine has a single 40mm Mikuni carb, which I can fix on the side of the road, clean out the float bowl and go. Yours has sequential port fuel injection with all those sensors, frying under a hot engine and if one goes, you are stranded on the side of the road. Time to get it towed, pal. So, defend you bad buying decision and pretend all is well and you don't have to regularly inspect your cam chain tensioners for wear and replace them. Pretend your pressed together flywheel will NOT come out of true, and start the self destruct process. Ignore all the YOU TUBE VIDEOS BY BURNED HARLEY OWNERS OF TWIN CAMS putting it all out there for persons who have yet to make a mistake in buying one of these bikes. I give it to HARLEY for marketing, they have a brand and can sell you a junk pile with a HAREY LOGO and your in to buy one.
