Yes. This great video worked perfectly. MIne was the resister labelled 0, but the concept was the same. Thanks for much for posting this. It took 20 mins total not including taking out the light and putting it back that I would have had to do anyway. YOU ROCK!

Thanks for the informative video. I completed this repair on my 2014 Sonata, both taillights were inoperative. Each board required tow components to be resoldered. My technique was to use a 60 Watt stick (40 Watts wasn't enough, 60 Watts on the edge of too much heat). I melted a (very)slight bit of solder to the tip, heated the joint and allowed the entrained solder to flow. With 60 Watts the existing joint solder melted quickly and helped make a good joint. Hint: clean the board before and after with 95% or better Isopropal alcohol.).

Thanks so much for the video! I was able to fix my lights. Wanted to add that in my case the whole piece wasn’t working and I had to resolder another one too which goes under number “0”, (closest to 240) maybe will be useful for someone:)

Thanks for the great video, I got me headed in the right direction when fixing a friends car today. In our case both the small side led's and the entire tail light were dark and flickering when driving. I resoldered the resistor you showed as well as 2 others that were cracked and walla problem solved. Thanks for the help, that is 600 bucks that can now be spent elsewhere!!!

I know this is old but what other resistors did you fix as far as the whole light assembly flickering and going dark.

@@jimmymoore4500 I honestly do not remember. Once I accessed the circuit board I looked at it thru a strong magnifying lens and I could actually see the cracked solder joints I just reflowed those joints and it was fixed, working till this day in fact. Good luck with your repair!

Thanks for the great post. I am having the same issue, so I would like to try this repair but have one question. How did you cut out the plastic material over the circuit board? The board is very close to this surface. You showed the black out line on the gray plastic but did not discuss the tool or method that you used to make this cutout. Any help would be appreciated. I used just a cut off wheel. just don't go any deeper then you need to

Do you know which Fuse in the fuse box is the tail light? I wanna try that first, both my tail lights r out on my 2014 hyundai sonata, and i dont think i can do all the stuff u are doing, i have no tools and no experience
