@@Drewfastfx2 I'm not familiar with either of those options. I can tell you though that the RC 2.5 is more of a aesthetic vs. performance. Like the owner of this Jeep, I did it for my wife and she loves it. Came out great and rides like stock. I noticed a drop in mpg but nothing too bad. I also added a cargo roof rack to make it even a bit more beefier.

I've lifted two WK2 Grand Cherokee's so far (see videos on my channel), I did a spacer lift first time around on the first one (2011) but no sooner did we install the spacers the struts blew, so I then did no spacer and added the Rough Country loaded struts. The second Grand Cherokeee was a 2013 WK2, I did the Rough Country loaded struts again in the front with two strut shims and JBA UCA's. Both Jeeps I installed Wrangler take off wheels and tires (32") with 1.5" wheel spacers.

I have a 2014 GC Laredo that I also did the RC 2.5 lift/level. Another simple mod that I did was the RC hidden LED Light bar on the lower front behind the mesh. I live in NW Rural TN and let me tell you at night with all the animals on these roads i also installed the RC 8 Gang switch where I can have it at my finger tips to turn on/off light bar. its better then the high beams by far. Thinking about ditch lights as well.

Yes they look good I have the same set up on a 2015 but if you live in a place with snowy weather like Illinois , in the winter it’s a mess because the tire rotation on the rear pushes snow and salt through the rear passenger doors so that’s a spot you have to keep cleaning because of that, JFYI to new Jeep owners getting this set up

As long as you've had the valve body of the 850RE trans and UC replaced under the recall, the 14s are good. The Hemi and Ecodiesel had very few problems since it ran the 8HP70 trans.

Thanks man! Ride quality is still great, it's very smooth. I was averaging about 21.5 mpg stock, it's evened out to about 19.5 right now. That's honestly the biggest change I've noticed.

Depends on how much trimming you want to do in the fender. Mine are just shy of a 32, any bigger and you may need to trim more than just the splash guards.

I would go with the RRO 2.75” deluxe kit. Raises the front AND rear keeping the factory rake. That way when you’re towing your trailer your headlights won’t be pointed at Mars. $295 for the kit, nothing else needed.

@@Aleahhellolove. the lift came out good. Had the dealership install it. Haven't upgraded my tires yet since i still have some meat on the current set. If i end up keeping my stock 17" rims, i was looking to do 275/70/17s. By my research, they should work w/o cutting the wheel well liner. 265/70/17s will be my default if the 275s cause rubbing. 265s will definitely work w/o issues. The stock tires on my Laredo are 245s & all other GC models w/upgraded 18" wheels come stock w/265s

These can be installed by the owner however, the left side drivers axle has to come out for ease of installation.

City it's now running about 16, highway is pretty good at about 23ish. Combined sitting at about 18. Just depends on how and where you drive it, and it's very possible the bigger tires have more effect on mpg than the actual lift itself.

@@matthewstark9491 gotcha thanks mine is a 3.6V6 and I have a aftermark K&N cold air intake on it and I threw some black running boards on it. My lift is currently sitting in the backseat that will be put on next week and my 1.5 spacers are coming tomorrow. I went with the rough country lift. Prior to all this I was getting over 30 highway but I'm putting so much weight on it I knew it would happen with the gas mileage I also installed a Reese hitch looking at a bull bar I'll have to do a video and show it off. Looks great. In the instructions for this particular lift, it says to check it after 50/500/and every 3,000 miles. Have you done that and/or had any problems with things coming loose over time?

I've had it checked twice. Once after 50-100 just to ensure nothing went loose after install. Another probably at 2000 miles. Haven't checked it since then, but haven't had any issues with it.

I will have a few rocks stick here and there, but it'll usually spit them out in the fender well so it doesn't affect the paint. I don't go off-road very often, but no issues so far.

It was only rubbing on the lining. On the front passenger side, also had to tuck a few wires back a little bit, but that was it.

No, I didn't have to do any modifications other than trim the fender lining.

I did, yes. After any suspension or front end work, it's usually not a bad idea. Your mechanic may already include it in the cost of install, doesn't hurt to ask.

The KO2s are pretty smooth, not much road noise. I also have a Wrangler, and even with the lift, it's still a smoothe ride. No rattling or anything, I'm happy with it so far.

since you're lifted, what made you go 265 vs 275? i have a 17 trailhawk and i like the stock rims, debating 265/65/18 (31.6" like yours are) or 275/65/18 ( true 32" tire). i just don't want to destroy my finders if i off road hard.

I wanted to go 275, but it's not as common a size and was cheaper to go 265. Other part I was unsure of was whether I'd have to trim anything further with the 275, so just decided 265 to be safe.

It's all one kit. It lifts the front 2.5 inches and lifts the back 1, so it makes the vehicle sit level.

285 you could definitely do in the rear, in the front you're probably looking at some extra trimming, but I can't say for sure.

The further negative you go, the more it sticks out. Positive will be bring it in and be more flush with the body/fender.
