2014 Kia Cadenza PCV Valve Replacement

This is a how to for a 2014 Kia Cadenza PCV Valve Replacement. The how to should guide you on changing out the pcv valve. If you need info on how to remove the air assembly. Please check out my spark plug videos. The part number for the pcv valve is 28-0211 it's made by Import direct Ignition pcv valve. I purchased it at O'reilly auto parts for $17.99 plus tax.

Great video have you experienced any oil light on or flickering i have changed out the oil pressure switch and the light still comes on my cadenza has 157k miles 2014 first time this is happening engine runs smooth no check engine lights or leaks

Thank you, hoping to keep my Cadenza running for a very long time. I just had to sell off my 3.6 Impala (also a GDI engine) w/ 147k miles because the PCV valve was clogged, a bunch of crap got into cylinder 2 and suddenly started misfiring. Ended up losing compression and repairs got too expensive and difficult/time consuming. Lesson learned: take care of your PCV system. I'm considering a catch can system, plenty of DIY ones and I'm thinking of running it through a transmission/oil cooler near the front just before going into the catch can will help condense the vapors more and increase the efficiency of the catch can. Does this seem like a good idea?

I have a 14 cadenza as well and am considering doing this as well. I’m concerned about the carbon buildup on the intake valve since it’s a GDI, do you know anything about adding a oil drip can to the PCV valve to prevent oil from circulating back into the combustion chamber? And also, where can I get my hands on the service manual? I’ve been looking everywhere including the cadenza forum, but can’t find one. Help please.

if PCV is blocked , oil would leak from the engine ,right?, But wouldn't the blow by goes out the breather side ? instead of leaking from seals or gaskets ?

A clogged or severely restricted pcv system prevents the engine from effectively purging its crankcase. When this happens blow-by vapors accumulate inside the engine. The excessive pressure will cause leaks.

Okay I also have a 2014 Kia Cadenza. I do not see the PCV valve, and the wiring harnesses look different lol, this makes no sense.

@@KleliousDavis I removed the throttle body too and the PCV isn't there, I'm hella confused 😅, 2014 Kia Cadenza SXL.....the only engine option 3.3 V6. Literally I have no more words to describe how confused I am.
