Either in the lines or out of lines. There is no just outside the lines and just some impurities it is either in the lines or out of the lines.

Yep, I agree... although the Sigma is not a perfect machine. That's why I did the additional tests. Thanks for watching Tony!

@@TalkingBullion It looks real to me with all of the other tests. I also have the sigma machine and have had some issues like the Libertad you have. I actually called sigma and was told its not perfect. There we go it is an assistant but only one part of the verification process. Thanks for the video.

I believe it to be real. I never knew about the gravity test. I appreciate the knowledge my friend.

Try setting the Metalytics to 9999 or 925 or 900, just to see where the cursor goes.

With 9999, it didn't pass. 925 and 900 it did. Interesting! Thanks MM!

@@TalkingBullion Mexico mint could be slipping/(cheating?) on its alloying.

I think your conclusion is sound. It's a real coin that has impurities. I've seen other videos on KZbin where they encountered the same thing but never with any government minted bullion, so that part is pretty unusual. Thanks for sharing this. a lot of stackers can learn from this!

You should also do the ring (ping) test. I have 2 coins that do not pass the sigma, but I convinced myself they are real with the other tests and ring test. If your hearing is bad, download an app to phone to analize the frequency of the ring tone , each metal alloy and size has a resonant frequency that can be identified, if item is symetrical like a coin. Also, you should be able to tell just by looks of letters and other devices on the coin if you look closely, to eliminate easy to see fakes. The tissue paper is a quick test but not reliable since plated coins would pass. Specific gravity test is usually the last test I do and only if I suspect a coin after a quastionable result from other tests. Its accurate but a hastle. If specific gravity test fails and I can't return I go for the acid test. Requires filing coin to remove outer layer (if plated) and putting on acid. Acid test leaves a nasty mark besides the filed portion. I have not had to acid test any coins since previous tests always convince me one way or another. I did try the acid test out of curiosity few times, but having such nasty acid around not worth it.

I could see the purity being off, I wouldn't trust the Mexican mint as much as some others
