What exactly does hybrid mean?

Hybrid means the power train is composed of an engine, an electric motor plus a battery pack. The battery pack mostly drives the car at low speeds to save more fuel. At high speeds the engine then kicks in to provide some boost. There are also times when both the battery and engine work in tandem to provide more power. There are different types of hybrids such as a self charging hybrid whereby the engine charges the batteries as long as the car is moving. An example of such a hybrid is toyota prius, fielder hybrid, fit hybrid etc. Another type of hybrid is the plug in hybrid that must be plugged in to a charging port to enable the batteries to be charged. Lastly there are electric cars that don't have an engine but have large battery packs that must also be plugged in for charging.

I don't think there are sedans specifically for women. Men and women can drive any car as long as they are able to maintain it. Nissan sylphy is a good option, looks nice, its fuel efficient and has impressive features such as rear ac vents, led daytime running lights, dual zone ac, cruise control etc. Its also very well priced compared to its toyota counterparts such as the premio and axio.
