2014 Mustang GT 5.0 Roush Exhaust

Installed the Roush axleback exhaust on my GT, love the sound! I've gotten nothing but compliments on them. They sound even better in person.
Installation was pretty easy, did it by myself under jack and stands on my garage floor in about 2 hours. Had a little trouble getting the stock mufflers out of the hangars, but once they were off these went on perfectly. Getting the tips just right and looking the same took a little time too.

Since 4 years since you made this comment. Alot of American V8 prices have gone down. If you make over 2k a month you can buy a used GT maybe even a new one if you don’t have alot of bills. Or put down a big down payment

I order my roush exhaust the same day I ordered my 2013 GT. Loved it the second I hit the ignition for the first time. Added their CAI just this year. Great Video.

Got the roush exhaust installed over the weekend, I'm in love with the sound! And only premium Mustangs automatically have Sync, base models have to opt for the tech package to have it. And adding that you might as well move up to premium anyways :)

Yes mine does have sync, I believe all the Mustangs do now. And no the exhaust hasn't given me any problems with it, haven't had any problems with sync at all actually.

That's funny cause I actually asked when I ordered the car if I could just get the regular leather seats because I had the same concerns about the sued, but they couldn't change it and I'm glad they didn't! They're actually really nice, and they seem to stay just as clean as the leather no issues with that. But I also don't allow any food in my car so I can't say what happens if you get chocolate or something on them lol. The sued also doesn't get as hot or cold as the leather.

i put the same roush axleback exhaust on my M6 2011 mustang 5.0 and LOVE the way it sounds now. the exhaust has just the right amount of volume where they are very loud, but not too loud or obnoxious. also, almost zero drone while crusing.

nice sounds. my friend has the exact setup on his 5.0 and man it sounds awesome. however the neighbors are taking him to court because they are complaining about how loud his car sounds. and they are whining about him waking up the neighborhood. so he had 30 days to change his exhaust back to stock. man,we are living in a communist nation. I say, "fuck the haters!". people are just jealous because they don't have something as nice.

Sure is! Have a CAI on now with made it sound even better at higher rpm's, it gets less raspy now that the engine can breath a little better. Been meaning to make a video showing the cold air just haven't had time yet

I had a crammed G8 GT with 1 7/8 longtubes to a 3 inch straight pipe system and lived in an apartment complex. Best part? I was the complex general manager and nobody could complain lol.

Omg i love the 1st gen 5.0, I had a 14 deep impact blue with Borla ATAK catback. The 14’s had a unique bubble h-pipe sound at slow moving and idle, my current 2019 just not the same!

I positioned the mufflers and tips before tightening the bolts on the clamps before the mufflers and I believe I also had the bolts at the mid pipe loose too. There's lots of play in the hangars and I found the mufflers should stay in the position they were in when you tightened the clamps so if you just loosen them and try again it should work.

Love the idle on it. Best way to describe it as “bubbles popping” but thumping at the same time? Sounds really nice 👍 only a 5.0 can make that sounds. Love The Hemi but any exhaust setup sounds like it’s got a leak.

I believe they can but I asked them if I could do it myself and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Actually one of the dealerships around here is a Roush dealer too so you should be good.

Jason C Thanks for your answer, and since you seem to know your stuff, would a exhaust like those portrayed in the video make a V6 sound like a V8? I live in Portugal and a V8 is costs 15 000$ more to register when compared to a V6, but the V6 almost makes no noise lol. thanks

Gazsh1 These wouldn't fit on a V6. You would have to look for a V6 exhaust from Roush. And no, you can't make a v6 sound like a v8.

Why those 5.0 coyote sound much better than the one in the s550 ? Is it the headers ? They soumd much deaper and have a nice burble, s550 is raspy ans shit, only the gt350 sound great (mach 1/gt500 arent too bad)

The GT500s sound good but they're still a stock muffler. I have them on my car and I wish they were a little louder. If you want to be noticed get the Roush.
