Bill Russell (2 High School State Championships 2 NCAA Championships 1 Olympic Gold and 11 NBA Championships in 13 years - voted MVP the year Wilt averaged 50 a game) once said that Tim Duncan was his favorite player. Could have picked Jordan, could have picked Magic or Bird maybe James or one of the Celtics but he picked Tim Duncan. Kids what you are watching here is what Bill Russell saw in Tim Duncan, the example he sets everyday, the bonding with teammates, giving up every part of his game that does not help produce W's. That's how Russell's Celtics used to win championships, a TEAM all playing as one machine can consistently beat even incredible individual players. A coach can coach, but you have to have that one guy willing to push hard everyday so hard that everyone stops thinking about how hard their life is. The block outs, the picks, the extra pass, demanding communication, what's said in the breaks, the look that says "we got this" when you've earned the absolute trust of everyone on your team. LOL Tim Duncan had his "leg cramps" in preseason practice, not the NBA finals.

@DrSanto9110 жыл бұрын
24AliensExist That is what people dont understand, the heat's lack of point guard is finally being exposed in this series, they dont have an actual point guard and their lack of point guard got exposed against the spurs because the spurs have a point guard.
@DiviniusAC10 жыл бұрын
24AliensExist Parker is extremely good, but not the best point guard (at least right now). However I would only put CP3 and Curry above him at this point, especially with the level of play we"ve seen in the playoffs so far. A couple years ago, I think he could have gone toe to toe with any PG in the league (hell he probably still could)
@badgrass_ph10 жыл бұрын
DiviniusAC dude, steph curry is above TP9? you must be fucking kidding me, Chris Paul IS above Tony Parker in terms of individual skill but facilitating a team? That's why we use a term such as "Combo Guard"...curry is a combo guard and his only exceptional trait that is above everyone is his godlike range. Parker will just put him in a spin cycle and he's gone.

Spurs dominated the Heat, no doubt about that. The amount of fans leaving the Heat arena is sick, they left them when their team needed them the most. Hopefully the Heat will do something, like a thank you video to the fans who actually stayed and cheered for them until the very end. The amount of true Heat fans is astonishly low. I stayed for them until the end, cheering them on from my tv screen. Heat did good this season, but Spurs deserves this (especially last year, god, my reaction lol) Gg to the Spurs, but I will never leave my team no matter how bad the situation is. I will keep cheering for them, no matter what. The NBA Championship song says it all. We will keep on fighting, till the end.

This was beautiful to watch. I'm surprised some of these "fans" didn't leave before the 4th quarter. Hard to expect much loyalty from people who flooded the arena as soon as LeBron came. Just as quick as they come, they leave even quicker in times of despair. Even OKC fans have the decency to stay 'til the buzzer sounds even when their team gets bounced out of the playoffs time & time again. Their precious Heat lose a few games & they can't even bear to watch. Pathetic organization & fans. No class. No respect for them.
@APC210Yo10 жыл бұрын
They actually boo'ed their own team at halftime.
@TrillTandon10 жыл бұрын
Ok why are you knocking the organization for this. They're a first class organization no doubt. And why are you blaming ALL the fans. You know not everybody at the arena is a hardcore fan and some people are smart enough to leave cause of traffic issues cause they might have shit to do next morning. You ever been a traffic jam, you'll realize why. Not even close to being the best fans but if I lived in miami and happened to be at heat games, I ain't leaving even if the team gets blown out by 50. But that's the difference between people. Very small city and the fan base is small in miami. And you're judging people by generalizing that they're all classless? I got no respect for your silly comment. basketball is not everything in this world for some people. At the end of the day its just entertainment for some people. There's so many things you gotta consider, that you people can't think about before commenting bs like this.

The Spurs have the most consistent team since drafting Duncan. Always a top seed and most unselfish team probably ever. Go to the dictionary and look up "Team", you'll likely see the Spurs as part of the definition. King Kawhi for MVP if he has a solid game when they ice down the heat Sunday.

I am so proud of being a Spurs fan and A TRUE Fan, been watching them since the 80's. They've come a long way,done a lot of beautiful things and given us fans so much to cheer about. I'll take this so called " boring" team over any other team out there. This year is their year and they damn well deserve it !!! Haters Hate On ....GSG !!!!

jeremy batrosky The game was over before the last uncontested 3 by ginobili in game 2 which came in garbage time. Did you watch the whole game or just come here for the highlights? LOL
@MoralMars1010 жыл бұрын
Hateis likeCancer I didnt know that with one minute left and the game within 4 points was considered garbage time? This would have been a sweep if those free throws were not missed at the end, but no matter. We will take it in 5.
@hateislikecancer35310 жыл бұрын
MoralMars10 When a team has 0 chance to win, it's called garbage time, it's has no relation to time. Now you know. Also if Lebron doesn't get injured in game 1 it would be 2-2. Lebron getting injured is not preventable, your spurs choking and missing free throws is nothing new (see last finals) and it's preventable.

in the history of NBA finals, no team has ever won coming from a 3-1 deficit, so the heat will have to make history if they want to win

After that all around game last game 4, I kinda hope Diaw gets the Finals MVP. BUT, i'm rooting for Manu, so all of the Big 3 have their own. Leonard can get his next time.

He's a Kawhi-et dude, man. Also, his father was gunned down at his business 6 years ago on Sunday. I believe that may have something to do with his quiet nature. That and his extreme maturity. Fathers day retribution is coming his way on Sunday. I hope.

Everybody keeps saying amazing things can happen because the heat aren't eliminated yet and it's fucking ridiculous, I just cannot believe some people are still giving the heat a chance after the ass whipping they took for 2 straight games in miami, any team that loses 2 games in a row like that at home in the finals of all things cannot, will not, and does not deserve to win the finals, this series is a good as over and I will be so much happier when the spurs finish off the heat in game 5 so people can stop saying that shit, it's not going to happen, the spurs won't lose 3 games in row in the finals with a 3-1 series lead with home court LMAO, Tim Duncan wants it too bad and he will get it, fucking glad for him and the rest of the spurs, one hell of a season and a well deserved championship
@xekis10 жыл бұрын
Right? Getting blown out of both their home games somehow gives people confidence that they will win 3 in a row, including 2 on the road? I'd love to play poker with these people and their total lack of understanding the odds on the table.

Hell yeah! TIM DUNCAN #21! For his thumb!
@badgrass_ph10 жыл бұрын
xekis Exactly my good sir. It's not about that the fact that a 3 consecutive wins isn't impossible people, but look at the odds laid out on the table. I'm sure the heat won't just give up, but they have no motivation whatsoever, the spurs just have to make sure that their players stay hungry and do not relax but I'm sure popp has taken care of that.

Kawhi Leonard is quickly becoming one of my favorite players in this league. He looks extremely humble, and seeing Pop tell him how proud of him he was, was extremely touching.
@PritDeLaGhetto10 жыл бұрын
Call me stupid but I would honestly take Kawhi Leonard over Paul George anyday. Paul George only puts up better numbers because he is the main focus in Indiana. Kawhi is more consistent, a better defender, rebounder and over a better player. Kawhi Leonard should be the Finals MVP
@cr0nikz10 жыл бұрын
You're not stupid friend. I would take Kawhi as well. Paul George is overrated, plus Kawhi's temperament and attitude is 100 times better then Paul "catfished" George.
