He's got 2 or 3 seasons still left in him. Isn't it incredible how he still averaged 17 & 10 these Finals @ 38 yrs old? He also led the team in hugs. I love Timmy, I hope he never retires, someday he's gonna have too, but man are we so lucky he's still playing & still being on top! 5IVE for Timmy!

Let me get this straight: The Spurs beat the Heat, a team that was put together by questionable means with three top players scheming with Pat Riley years and years ago to only sign to the same team so that they could be together and increase their chances to win championships, but lost to the Spurs, a team that was built through the draft and free agency signings. Man oh man, what the Spurs have done is one of the most impressive in the history of sports and can't be applauded enough! To beat the Heat, a team full hype and favoritism from the refs and the media is truly remarkable indeed!

when two top 3 players (in 2010) come together, everyone is going to care. regardless on what everyone says, the 2011 bulls, 2012 celtics, 2013/2014 pacers were all tough opponents for the heat. they made it to the finals 4 years in a row. the spurs yes now have 5 championships but also keep in mind that they had a drought from 2008-2013. miami even beat them once in the span. as far as it goes, it's 1-1. I'm hoping for a rematch next season. miamis trapping defense is very ineffective against the spurs ball movement so now we will see if spo can figure out a way around this.

Grand Wonder *Dude.* You said ''but lost to the Spurs, a team that was *built through the draft* and *free agency signings.*'' Last time I checked just because your an outrages talent, doesn't mean your not allowed to sign for less money to play with better players. Bosh,Wade,Bron were all free agents in 2010 you know.. and I believe guys like cole and nappier were drafted... so I don't see your point.

I truly can say that I haven't had so much amazement & emotion for basketball until watching this Spurs team in this series. It was fundamental basketball at its finest, & I think my generation is use to teams such as the Heat. This was a reality check for everybody, fans, coaches, and players. It was refreshing to take in the greatness I just witnessed from this team. I have so much respect for the Spurs and of course Greg Pop. This Finals win was well deserved for them so BRAVO!

Plus, it was a reality check for the NBA itself. The Spurs get the least "spotlight" and attention out of all the NBA teams. No love for this team whatsoever. Every year you hear about Carmelo, LBJ, Rose, Westbrook, Durant, who is the best, who will top MJ someday, who this and that..... No one even mentions the LIVING LEGEND, Tim Duncan, and his crew! The guy has more rings than all those CLOWNS combined.

I'm not a fan of either team but damn, San Antonio deserves ALL the respect in the world. Beautiful basketball, it was obvious they simply were the better team. Last year, the Heat did not win, the Spurs lost.. anybody with common sense understands that statement. As far as LeBron goes, you dickriding fans need to stop, like really. Stop making excuses, stop making up shit like "he needs a better team" cause when you have two All Stars, three Hall of Famers, best three point shooter ever and also Gold winning Olympians, you do not need a better team. He's now 2 out of 5 in the Finals and you want to say he's the greatest, lol.

I'll go against the tide here, and actually agree that James needs a better team around him. Like any of the greats, he can have all the talent in the world, but it's not a one on one game. It's a team game, and he needs good supporting players around him to really shine. But the team is only the symptom of the real problem with his career, which is that he's never had a really good coach. Ever. He's had coaches who got lucky enough to have him on their team, rather than having genuine coaching skill. That definitely isn't the same thing as having a good coach who knows how to surround him with the talent that complements his skills. A coach who knows what he's doing with someone like James, as in being able to knock some sense into him when he needs it (no grandstanding TV specials), without breaking him. One that can really make him play to his potential, which is staggering, and help him minimize his weaknesses--which he does have. He doesn't seem like a stupid guy, so he could very well be in the process of demanding a new coach with real talent, or he'll bolt for a team that will give it to him. He would definitely insist on a guy who would teach the kind of ball movement he was facing in this year's finals.

Why are people hating on Lebron? I see people calling him 'LeShit' or whatever but give the guy some credit. It seems like everything he does is a wrong in peoples eyes. Everybody is criticising this man but I don't see them criticise MJ. Bear in mind yes MJ is one of best players in the world he's right there at the top. People think of him as god, in fact his 1st 6 seasons with the Bulls they didn't even reach the finals until Pippen emerged. He shot 37% from the field against the sonics. I'm just saying LBJ averaged 27.3 ppg 7reb and 4.3 assists shooting 70% from the field in this series cut the guys some slack. It was a man vs machine series. Anyways congrats to the Spurs for winning the 2014 championships And also to Kawhi Leonard for winning the MVP you deserved it. We'll be back next year (Heat fan)

I'm not a bulls fan, but they rlly need melo. If they get him then joakim won't be relied on for offence he can just focus on dfence and everyone knows how good he is on defence. What I'm trying to say is is that IF they get melo, then joakim won't have to waste too much energy on offence cuz Melos gnna be dropping shots like no tomorrow and if that happens then Noah won't be tired when he gets back on dfence. And after all the silly self-hype talk of belonging to on the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA, Lebron James got shut down by a 22 year old who isn't an "All Star" but became the Finals MVP by showing up Lebron James all series through. Tim Duncan belongs on the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA, and he did it without talking much but putting in the work and coming through the hardest conference of League, season after season. And his entire team backed him and themselves up without all the hype all season through. They did it the right way, by playing as a team. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE PEOPLE!!

i agree. lebron doesnt belong in "Mount Rushmore". he is a great player. but the way i see it, he doesn't have a strong will and mentality. "trying my best but all the people around me cant help" i remember this when he was in cavs and he repeat it again in heat. winners always want the ball, no matter what the stake on hand. if it was MJ or even kobe, they will try to reduce the gap with their own play. cause everyone believes in him, and they never blame others. thats what makes you a superstar. they had to carry the team on their shoulder
@LoonieGoon3r
@LoonieGoon3r 10 жыл бұрын
Farhad Zuhdi You're absolutely correct. Even after the Spurs lost year finals no one in the Spurs team said what he said cause it was a team failure. LeBron is a great player but still a long to earn the right to belong on the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA. You could see he gave up on his team half way through the 4th quarter of the final. His entire body language said so. If it hadn't been for that clutch shot Ray Allen made in last year's game 6, he would've only one ring now and Tim Duncan would've 6 rings today. LeBron went into his shell the few minutes into the fourth quarter. He just gave up on his team.
@LoonieGoon3r
@LoonieGoon3r 10 жыл бұрын
Mickey Sheahan To me he only proved he is a great NBA player but that don't mean he belongs on the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA. There are tons of players in the NBA but not all of them belongs on the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA. Hakeem Olajuwon, Isiah Thomas, Robert Parish, Allen Iverson, Gary Payton, Shaquille O'Neal, James Worthy, Joe Dumas, John Stockton just to mention a few, all have right to claim a spot on the "Mount Rushmore" of before LeBron James. He should hush up and do work to build his legacy cause he still has long ways to go to be deserving a spot in the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA. You can't talk and hype yourself onto the "Mount Rushmore" of the NBA. You have work yourself to get there. All that talk in 2010 of winning "not 1... not 2.... not 3.... not 4.... not 5... not 6... not 7, but 8 championship rings with the Heats! - If only it were that easy. He's been to 4 finals with the Miami Heats and won 2 with "The big Three". He is going to be 30 years old in December, Dwyane Wade is 32, Chris Bosh is 30. As lately he has not been taking care of business, cause all LeBron ultimately seems to been doing now is blowing a lot of smoke - hahaha.

I've never been more disappointed in Wade in my entire life. I've followed his career since he came into the league and it's sad to see the decline of a star especially the way he's going about it. I remember how great he was the first year of the big 3 then he was never the same going into the 2nd year. A man who in my opinion was once the best basketball player in the world can barely get a layup off against Splitter. His time is officially up. I can see him as a guy who will take a role more like Vince Carter on the Mavs and take a huge paycut to allow more talented young guys to come to this Heat team. Congrats to the Spurs for playing complete team basketball.

Agreed. Very lazy defensively, didn't seem very committed at all. Too many lapses in concentration on both ends of the court. A sign that Miami need younger, fresher talent to transition the ageing veterans out to the lower depths of rotation - or even off the books.

I always had this thought that too many stars is not such a great thing. now this is far fetched and possibly not true. Wade was a star without bosh and james. but since they came here. it's not "him". he now as well as bosh have to take a backseat and let james be the guy for the miami heat. that may mess with you mentality. you can't play the game how you want. What do you guys think. very unlikely theory. no?
@slactweak

I don't agree that Wade is done. I think Wade was dealing with an injury or something that wasn't bad enough to keep him out of the game, but did affect his performance. If you think back to last year, the same thing happened to Manu. In all the Playoff series I've seen Manu in, I have NEVER seen him not show up the way he was absent in last year's finals. Manu even admitted, much later, that he wasn't 100% in that Finals which accounted for his poor performance. I think Wade was dealing with the same thing and I expect he'll redeem himself next year.

I remember someone said the Spurs didn't have an Alley-Oop in the Finals. I was very happy to watch the first alley-oop for San Antonio by Kawhi Leonard starting the Spurs big come back in the second quarter. We were down 6-22, then 22-29 and after that alley-oop and a 14-0 run lead by Kawhi & Manu, we finished the first half up by 7, 47-40. Then it would be Patty Mills hitting all those threes, even more Manu and Kawhi. Fourth quarter led by Tony Parker 12 points, end of the story. PENTACAMPEONES, CINCO, THE DRIVE FOR FIVE REACHED ITS FINAL DESTINATION, congratz to the Spurs Organization for this huge accomplishment.

first off. congrats to the Spurs and Kawhi Leonard on winning the finals mvp award. but as a LeBron fan i have to say what a four years its been with the Heat. with my dad in and out of the house, i watched LeBron to keep my mind off things. from being the immature villain that he was 3 years ago to being a changed man for the better in terms of being a player and as a person. along the way i saw him win two championships. but in 2011 i felt a hole in myself watching my favorite player not accomplish his goal of winning an nba championship. but i was still a fan after that summer and was inspired when the Heat redeemed themselves in 2012 and proved to the league that they could do it again in 2013. to make 4 straight finals appearances is something in itself but it also shows the dedication of this team to be stay elite. following this loss i no longer feel the hole of loss but rather an acceptance of how things are. ive changed after 3 years myself. from being an insecure kid to a young man no longer scarred by past experiences. ive been inspired by LeBron to make myself a better person both mentally and physically, despite what others may do to me. for that i will always be a fan of LeBron James.

There is something called match ups dumb ass. Are you telling me that the Mavs can beat OKC or Heat this year? Probably not.... Still sticking with Spurs again to make it to the finals next year, IF none of them retire and IF they do get a nice young player from the draft... and IF other teams from the west don't make key big trades or improve their roster as well. The West is always a War, while the East is a fucking cake walk each and every year ever since James went to the Heat.

Okay. Regardless of individual opinions, this series has PROVED some things to me: 1.) The San Antonio Spurs are the best team since the 90's Chicago Bulls, and they very well might be the best ever. They have BRILLIANT scouts & management. What other team has EVER had this many different players contributing in games? Even their DEEP bench can come into a game and make a HUGE impact. They are a TRUE team. 2.) D-Wade, it's time to retire. D-Wade from 2 or 3 years ago isn't getting blocked by Tiago Splitter. Tiago....Splitter.....3.) LBJ is still a beast, but isn't fundamentally as sound as Jordan. He is bigger, faster, stronger than Jordan, but just not fundamentally sound. See Free Throw % to prove this. 4.) Tim Duncan looked old & slow in there from time to time. What are your thoughts?

@@10litehouse Christopher you mad salty brother. Winning a championship in yr 17 and finals mvp is even more impressive. He has been consistently great. You are probably a MJ stan who brings down other greats because you feel insecure. I could also say if the pistons never got old then MJ wouldn't have beat em or even better MJ never beat Bird and the celtics but you don't see me saying JoBaldeagle or sum shit that has nothing to do with basketball. Give lebron 2 yrs of rest to rejuvenate when he was making 8 straight finals playing 100 plus games every year for this long. He took that 2007 cavaliers to the finals against 4 hall of famers spurs. He took the Miami heat in their first run to the Finals and lost to Dallas to swept the 2x defending champs kobe and the lakers and won by 36 in game 4 and were on a historic run but it was the only time lebron disappointed me and had a bad series and that's okay because he made it up with next 7 seasons. He took the cavs to the finals their first year together to the finals and carried em to 6 games without love or Irving. He won the 2016 finals by beating the 73-9 warriors who blew a 3-1 lead to them in which lebron led both team in every fucking stat category. He made KD who blew a 3-1 lead to them join them 😂 and made that team the greatest offensive team or team i might say to ever be assembled who went on to beat cavs in 2017. Lebron as a 4th seed in the east carried those bums to the finals dropping historic numbers and dropped 51points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds only to watch his cavalier teammate forget the score. 2019, the lakers were the 4th seed and then boom lebron got injured and wasn't same the rest of the season that people started calling him "washed". He got AD and went on to gentleman sweep the Western conference and beat the heat who beat the bucks with the MVP and DPOY in 5 games who the lakers beat in 6 to take home the 17th chip tieing the most with celtics for Kobe. You see the pattern? He won the championship in his 2nd year with the miami heat, won it 2nd year it with the cavs, won it 2nd year with the lakers. He also is the only won to win championships and finals mvp with 3 different teams. He has had even more achievements but that will take too long. I hope you learned something from this and hope you stop disrespecting NBA legends

@@jesvinmathew5103 #LeBaldeagle James has played 5 more seasons roughly 510 more games, almost 20,000 more minutes, & still hasn’t passed Jordan🐐 in championships🖐🏿☝🏿Finals MVP’s, All Defensive Teams, Scoring Titles, Defensive Player of the Year award, and steals titles. And after 🌮Tuesday and his lace front hairline falling off in mid game he’s now 3-6-1😂😂😂😂. He’ll never catch Jordan or even Kobe. You bronsexuals better hope he get that all time scoring points spot because he won’t be able to get what really matters .....🗣RINGS. Sh!t, he might not get that because all the bulldozing his way to the basket for dunks or layup are slowing down. We all know he can’t shoot a consistent jump shot all game like #KevinDurant 😂 #LeRogaine is fuccing doomed🤧 ❌PS:Since you Bronsexuals wanna say KD rings don’t count, LeBron two rings with the Heat🔥 don’t count. He had to dick🍆🏇🏾ride Wade & Bosh for his first two chips. Plus, his ring with Cleveland has an asterisk* because if it wasn’t for Draymonds suspension and Curry’s ejection he wouldn’t have that ring either❌ (@me all you want I said what I said)

Leonard was great, no doubt, but I was kinda hoping that Manu gets the MVP. So atleast each of the big 3 got their MVPs, but I get it anyway... it's about leading the way for the younger star. It's just an MVP anyway, the Spurs greatness this season didn't just come from the Big 3, it comes the BIG TEAM.
