Sejun's Gyarados was in red zone, so Omari prediected that Sejun may switch Gyarados to Talonflame so Zapdos used thunderbolt to hit Talonflame. But Sejun read Omari's thought so he didn't switch Gyarados and used Zapdos to heal Pachi.

Well, Omari probably would have win if he brings protect on his Zapdos. He can easily forsee the waterfall on Zapdos and then use Garchomp to chip away Gyrados damage. Mega Garchomp would have 2HKO Gyarodos thugh. Sacrificing protect for 2 electric moves don;t worth it.

I wonder why Omari chose to run U-turn on Zapdos instead of Volt Switch. I mean, it helped him against Se Jun, but I'd think that in all other situations Volt Switch would be superior.

My (probably very dubious two cents): First Discharge was to hit Gyarados and KO Gothitelle, the second Discharge was a bit iffier but probably for Gyarados and either hoping Pachi would switch or maybe he wanted to feign a scarf Zapdos? And the next Thunderbolt was probably aimed at Gyarados under the assumption that Equake might KO Pachi. (I think Zapdos was running Discharge, Thunderbolt, U-turn and a fourth move, but Omari didn't want to switch Zapdos out with U-turn, obviously couldn't use Discharge and thus used Thunderbolt?) But unfortunately for Omari the Equake didn't KO Pachi while Chomp went down, so the Thunderbolt was directed at Pachi instead.

That flinch was pretty clutch, but let's not pretend like it was ultra deciding. Se Jun won the 1st match pretty handily, even if he lost the 2nd without that flinch there's a pretty good chance he could have won the 3rd. Fact is since it never went to a 3rd match we cant know just how important that flinch was. Yes it won him the second game but if he would have won the 3rd game anyway then it wouldnt have mattered. Also he absolutely dominated in the finals so it's not like he didnt deserve to be champion.
