I have the coupe version of this car with the same interior. It has been completely trouble free for 8 years. Tires and brakes are pricey but it's far cheaper maintenance than exotics like Ferrari. Haley's dress and shoes go perfectly with this car.

I have the same type of 911S cab in ruby red metallic used just on Sundays for hard driving on remote roads and it is a lot of fun especially on sharp turns with the back sliding a bit. I have a lot of goo options on it like the chrono and sport exhaust which I use every time.

The olny Achilles heal of the 997 is that they used mixed steel and aluminium components wich can oxidate together (galvanic corrosion). This is OK if the peaces should stay together for ever, but removing a steel screw out of a alu part is pain and in the worst case you have to drill them out.

It's a beautiful car, love the red interior, but the fact that that engine is buried in the rear of the car makes me shudder about the cost of maintenance and repair! I will stick with my Lexus SC430...but hey if you can afford this, life is short, why not?

Porsche is also a luxury brand, one of the top notch ones at that. They literally focus on premium leathers, best suede and detailed stitching. In fact their convertible tops are some of the best in the business. So what really is your point? Had it not been for ferdinand porsche and ferdinand piech, true marvels of engineering and business, the company wouldn't be the HUGE success that it is today. Where is lexus again? Oh rightttttt...the relentless pursuit for perfection with the whole "lexus experience" whenever you enter their dealerships.
