Love Barbossa after complaining he was getting rubbed and it cost him the win, I replayed the last 2minutes and yes there was some equal rubbing until Barbossa put Taylor into the wall. Yuuup there's definitely a clear advantage to the DP cars... You have 600hp cars(DP) racing against cars with only 450hp(P2) and only 100kg weight difference! I'd like to see if the power /weight ratios are even close in comparison? What's the point in having a Prototype class when it's dominated by one make? Very disappointing. It'll be interesting to see what the remainder of the season shows... I wonder if IMSA will restrict the DP cars for 2015??

DP is 575 hp, and P2 is 480 under the current restrictions. There's a 140 kg weight difference (20 hp/ton difference). The P2s make more downforce (yet are more efficient than the DPs) and weigh less, and so far, not a single track besides laguna seca (and who won that?) is suited for them. Wait for the rest of the season. Hell they were even faster at Watkins Glen.... Don't get me wrong I love the Corvette DP, but they aren't far off on pace equalization. It's where the LMPs get the pace that hurts them.

Well another DP win they are walking away with it. This is super disappointing. ALMS was a million times better they had something special there. I wish this merger had never happened my fav teams are all slowly pulling out and i don't blame them. Also ppl say this was the best finish they have seen in years or ever??? The last few laps where a how not to drive your respected competitors tutorial from the Taylor kid. It is a shame what has happened to this series. They keep pumping it up like its doing so well......Its not. Wake up !! If your a DP fan your in heaven but who is?? I think im done with this series. Way to ruin a good thing. Bring back ALMS!!!! it was something special. Well there is always WEC,ELMS and v8 super all much better than this DP show..Lame

I totaly agree with you, The only difference being I liked both ALMS and Grand Am, both good for different reasons. But together it hasn't worked.

Also add to my comment a couple of weeks back, after talking about the DP v P2 performance issue, If you look at the Calender, The 1st half of the season were bumpy slow Street courses and tracks needing high speed grunt. The second half of the season is filled with tracks where there superior down force of the P2 will show through.

Yeah, haha ALMS was great...races with 2 cars in a class...sometimes only 1...great competition! "The Taylor kid" drove just fine...those of us who know what we're talking about, obviously you don't, all know that Barbosa is the dirtiest driver (and the biggest crybaby) out there. Maybe you can find a remote control series to watch.

Spec classes like DP are bullshit, american endurance racing have no heart except sebring and daytona.
