I used a drill bit to make a hole to get a fat nail to drive through. So there is no way it will just fall out, since there isn't much space for it to rest. I tried your other method, and it was still throwing a code. So I ended up just tearing out all the fins lolol... Horrible design. Thanks for the vid~!

Strongly advise going with the bolt method! Whatever you use to cram in the slot with eventually fall out. Lookup H&S oil cooler kit instructions. I just did this method from Shawn @ mopar Ecodiesel and after 24hours my jam fell out and warning light came on. To reset warning light touch leads of car together (-/+) for 90 seconds without power obviously. Or drive around for a couple days or use a OBD tool. God bless Shawn's family!

I just ignore the check engine light what exactly will this damage I took out all of the vents with a flat head but left the husk of it still on I live in a non vehicle emissions area so I don't have to worry about that

I got P1D73 code after remove and block handle @ 1st hole, today I change to use a block to stpo it @ the yellow mark, hope it's done. Don't you worry that block stuff go out when driving?

If you just move it without relocating the actuator arm, will it cause some issues? Watching the video, I do not understand why the chrome insert is needed. Btw, what intercooler are you planning to get?

+thermorex there is a max and low voltage value needed. the computer looks for that as well as how long it takes to get there, otherwise youll get a code. P0101

I'm just sharing what I did to my 2016 Focus St with active shutters system, I just remove the active shutters fuse F36 5amp and the shutters shield permanent open with out check engine lights on.

I might have to try on my dodge dart. I just removed the shroud by the radiator to easily access it and open the shutters, for me it only throws the light sometimes. Along with fans stuck on which cant be good

You can run without It but it produces a check engine light.: in my state that would fail inspection so had to buy a used one off fleabay for my wrecked 2016...

You are mostly Correct However! You did this way to hard! The Natural stop for the full open shutter position is fixed to the Motor housing stop where you added the trim piece. No need for this whatsoever! The full close position for the motor arm is sorta near were you marked it in gold. All that is needed for any Chrysler product, Be it a Truck or Car is to set the "shutter full close stop position"! A simple self threading wide head screw with a starter hole is all that required! Drill the hole basically were the tip of your thumb is at 3:04 into your video and adjust the depth to you mark for the motor arm! Bingo you are done! No kits required and very Simple with a screw most of have laying around our tool boxes!
