2014 Ram 1500 Dial Shifter Replacement

So the problem I’m having with my 2015 ram 1500 single cab 3.6L is sometimes when driving if I hit a bump or I’m coming to a turn. D -for drive starts blinking. It then tells me shift to p. At that point I just shut the whole truck off and start it back up to reset and that’s been working so far. Do you think it could be the control shift module as well like in this video ?? I haven’t been able to find any similar problem videos.

Sounds like it could be a faulty shift knob that’s shorting or over heating and a hard reset is resetting it temporarily.

Sometimes it’ll say service electronic throttle control and then red lighting bolt comes up check engine light on i get the code p1618 Control Module Self-Test, AD-Converter Monitoring" that’s what it tells me and another code but it’s just a dynamic range error

I don’t remember the exact site but it was one of the online mopar replacement sites

I have a 2017 ram 1500 having the same issues. Will I need to have it reprogrammed after I replace that ?

@@roderickmiles2012 you shouldn’t have to. You can always plug it in when it’s apart, start up the truck and test it before putting everything back together.

U didn't have to reprogram it

No but I did have my computer updates preformed a couple months earlier when I had other work done. So you may or may not have to have updates ran, I would test it before putting everything back together.
