Mine broke clean off going into park, just hanging by the wire for the manual shifting feature, luckily it happened in my driveway. Went to my local dealer the next day (after watching your video) and got the bracket. Took me a total of 2 hours, the rear bolt holding the bracket was a PITA, probably spent 45 minutes getting that on/off, other than that it went smoothly. Dealer quoted me roughly $600 including towing, the part was $112.

Just got it done! I feel tons better right now. Giving the Torx sizes was a great detail. Pulling the plastic parts surprised me. It was much easier than I expected with few screws and mostly clips. Mopar!!

@@yeeyee9759 this is not recommended but can be used in a pinch to move the vehicle the bracket ear that brakes may become more brittle an fall apart more making it harder to get into gears so vice grip would be for emergency only!

Give your VIN to the dealer. I called them and my truck wasn't covered.

I have a 2011 dodge Ram 1500 and when I put my key into the ignitions i get buzzing sound from somewhere under my dashboard, but i move the gear shifter down a little the buzzing stops and the truck idles like the there nothing wrong. has anyone experience this before?

The thing with mopar its always electrical. It could be a ground wire
