I Love my 2019 Forester Touring ! It’ll soon be 5 years old but it has only 11K miles on it. My wife’s 2019 Outback has only 28K miles and our 2011 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 4WD has only 36K miles. Obviously we don’t drive very much. I’m retired and my wife has another 16 years to work. She carpools so she only has to drive 2 weeks a month. I was so impressed with the traction of her Outback. For the first 2 years she was driving on the factory tires even through our very cold and snowy winters. So last year when it was time to replace my 12 year old Toyota Rav 4WD Limited, I started looking around for a slightly used Forester Touring. It had only 4,700 miles on it. KBB priced it out for $38K with all the extras, but we bought it for $32K. I’m a maintenance nut and the previous owner of my Forester was obviously a maintenance nut as well. He changed the oil 7 times in 4,700 miles. I change the oil every 4K miles with Kirkland full synthetic. I use to use Mobile 1 full synthetic but the Kirkland flows quicker in cold temperatures. The previous owner also had Michelin Cross Climate tires installed when it had only 1,300 miles. The Cross Climate tires are Awesome in the snow, rain, slush and dry pavement. They’re a quiet tire and they don’t compromise on fuel efficiency. We like them so much that when it was time to replace the factory tires on my wife’s Outback, we put the Michelin Cross Climate tires on her Outback as well.

I've owned eight Subarus! Everyone of them performed well except a 2012 Outback Wagon 3.6R. Terrible tranny but gobs of power. My 2014 Forester 2.5i Premium does the job nicely albeit a bit spartan in the interior area. I think Subaru could jazz up the interiors with better leather, quality trim, HID lights, sound system and better seating to name a few. When paying 32K for a "Subaru", you expect a little more panache. But I do love my subie regardless. Just wish it was a bit more BMW/Audi like inside.
