Had the same issue on my 2014 forester, unfortunately subaru doesn't sell individual solenoids. I payed 800$ for my valve body save the old solenoids lol! Thanks for the relearn guide! I'm doing it with my Launch OBDII scanner

@paddlespaz123 it in fact did! I just followed the procedure twice just to be sure

@@Technica_IO What model Launch do you have? I need to upgrade and the launch products are more in line with what I can spend. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

@paddlespaz123 I got the X431 Pros Mini on Amazon. It came with free updates for 3 years. The only downside to the Amazon ones is support is located in China, so to get a new Bluetooth receiver I had to contact them through email. But they were very helpful and give deals to Americans. Launch is great! So is Autel. But whatever you get just make sure it's "bi-directional" which allows you to output functions to each solenoid or sensor or keys or anything. The amount of money I've saved with this thing payed for the 750$ cost many time over!

Thanks! DIYing the same problem with the body valve lock up solenoid. That Autel Maxisys worked out great. Im buying the MaxiCON 808s, I couldnt 100% confirm if the newest version will be able to perform the AT Clear and Relearn for my 2014 Forester XT, but its less than half the cost and theres a hint online that it might.

I have the same year outback but I keep getting a session ended abnormally. After getting to the part where it says to put in D Drive, the engine seems to shift, I feel a clunk and then it aborts the procedure.

Do you know if I have to do the same think on a 14 Subaru xv crosstrek? And why I can’t do it whit the Apollo d8 help please

hi, we replaced the AWD solenoid after getting a p0971 code read at the dealer. after the repair, it drove fine for a few minutes. then the check engine light and a/t light came on. now i have p0700 and p0974. it had high rpm's like it wasnt shifting. is this happening because we did not perform a relearn after the repair? we do not have a scan tool that is capable of it.

I had all my code lights go on it was just a corroded battery cable

I just had my valve body replaced under warranty at 87k due to p0700/p2763. I'm wondering if I should be worked about the rest of the cvt failing.
@GelatoSnipes8 ай бұрын
Specifically for Subaru model years 10-14 equip with the tr690. This CVT is prone to valve body LOCK UP DUTY solenoid failure, as will as Clutch Failure in the Torque Converter. There is an extended warranty for both. Otherwise I've seen the CVT last longer than the motor many times. Keeping up with maintenance is what makes this transmission last, even though they're "sealed systems". If you experience any shuddering or stalling after your VB repair, I'd recommend using the extended warranty for the Torque Converter as well.

Hi, i just did the cvt relearn procedure on a 16’ forester xt that i just bought…the car seems a bit lag…how much time does it take for de the cvt to finish the re learning?
@Jaydiyrepairguy Жыл бұрын
Took about 20 mins on the rack and 20 minutes test drive to learn driving patterns. Ran fine after that.

I replaced valve body and try to do at learning. But after running in D and release brake process abnormally stoped. I try adjust brakes, nothing help. Scanner detected mode door actuator problem. And maybe that code stops learning. Is it possible to removecthat code without fixing. I try, but it still there
