Compared to the 2001 Forester, the XV lacks storage cubby compartments both in the cabin and the rear payload area. Agreed that the USB port should have been located somewhere near the stereo. But hey, at least the cupholders are placed better now than 15 yrs ago. Also, I like the deluxe mirror with digital compass, I find that useful, but it blocks my vision quite a bit since it is big. But what a relief not to have to shift and work the clutch pedal stuck in city traffic anymore...so for me, big thumbs up for CVT. Any auto trans would have cured the city crawl problem, obviously.

Same question in 2023 August. I've had my '23 Premium with the six-speed manual for four months, 6000 miles. It's a fine highway cruiser, around 30 MPG in town, 35 to 42 on the highway. My only complaint is road noise from the Geolandar G91 tires: they sound like a coin laundry Huebsch front-loader with a bad spin bearing on most road surfaces, but almost silent on a few. I had no trouble finding a comfortable driving position, but I wish the car rode a bit higher for egress purposes.

6:45: in my XV (European model) the back fog lamp is situated there.

Subaru agrees with you. They are dropping XV from the name starting in 2016 ( in the U.S. anyway).

13:50 thats legit the only two things i want. But to be honest im 18 and just flipped my nissan sentra over and tottalled it... so yea that might explain it. U live u learn. I definitely have regrets

Great little crooss over. I hated the alloy wheels cuz it looks like a cookie cutter. The Impreza hatchback premium have more attractive wheels. Another things I dislike about these subaru is the engine sound. It sounds like it has exhaust leaks. Have them sine 2001 and own a 2015 Impreza Sedan and it's still sound the same as it was back in 2001. MPG has improve thought vs. the old cars.

Turbos are nice, but they do put a larger strain on your engine which reduces its lifetime. Tradeoffs.
