What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the 2014 Corolla: It's been a while since the Corolla has gotten a major redesign, while the redesign in 2009 was considered one, engine choices, styling, and the chassis remained the same. For 2014 however the Corolla gets a full redesign it hasn't seen in about a decade which is very surprising since Toyota usually likes to keep it's products fresh. On the front fascia Toyota has tried going with a more daring design so it can get rid of some of the bland flavor that Toyota's are known for having. Engines remain the same a 1.8 L 4-Cylinder that doesn't feel to anemic but isn't a hot rod either delivering a respectable 140 horsepower and EPA estimates of 40 MPG being the best you can get out of a Corolla (LE Eco Model Only) with your transmission options being a 6-Speed Manual, a CVT Automatic or a 4-Speed Automatic. On the interior you will find it to be a little more upscale when comparing it to the previous generation, soft touch interior accents and a stylish dash that is very user friendly make the Corolla even a more inviting compact. Compared to it's competitors the Corolla is a tremendous value packed car offering from Standard LED Headlights and standard bluetooth the Corolla is certainly worth considering when choosing value and don't forget to throw in the classic Toyota reliability and resale value. All in all when you look at the Corolla being an all around commuter car it certainly fit's the bill in fact it probably is one of the best ones in the compact car segment. When Toyota tried to throw in excitement, you can't beat the fact that this car isn't for the car enthusiast if you're looking for a true fun to drive compact car the Mazda 3 and the Volkswagen Jetta are the best ones. Overall the Corolla definitely does pretty much everything right.
