All you do is put the amsoil engine flush in the motor oil for 15 minutes and idle it and then you drain the oil and then replace the filter and then fill it up with fresh oil

That's a great question I honestly don't know I would take it if it was my car to the dealer and they can use the rescan tool or any garage that has a scam tool they plug it in and can turn it off. You can also contact the dealer and give them the last eight of your VIN number and they should be able to give you the exact procedure.

Great question here now I understand so you're having an oil consumption problem which can be usually about 90% of the time it's because there's carbon buildup around your rings that is keeping the oil ports from allowing the oil to lubricate everything the Rings are stuck and it's blowing right by it's going out your tailpipe so if I personally owned your car what I would do is an Amsoil engine flush you'll see that under cleaners and protectants I would also get a bottle of Pi performance improver and I would also get the signature series motor oil I would also get two filters one Wix filter for the first 2000 miles and then I would switch to the Amsoil filter after about 2,000 miles because what's going to happen is all the buildup that's in your motor is going to end up in the filter because the flush will only get about half of that old carbon build-up out after that you will most likely barely burn any oil only about half a quart of oil every 10,000 miles. I personally don't know a whole lot about those vehicles I do know a lot of the European vehicles are turbocharged and the most important thing the number one thing is to use the highest quality oil filter in motor oil as possible and change the oil before it gets broken down. Other than that all the other fluids are very important keeping your cool doing the radiator coolant doing the transmission fluid and changing the rest of the fluids

@billydecker9396 it depends on the filter and the way the vehicles driven most of the filters like the Wix filters are good for about $7,500 Mi of City driving that's what I do on my personal car in the filter looks pretty good however if you're going to push it out to 10,000 miles or more you would only want to use in my opinion is the Amsoil filter it's a proprietary synthetic media and it holds four times more contaminants than a cellulose paper filter and that filter is good up to 15,000 miles

You can reset it the reset is in the owner's manual. I don't even look at it on my Corvette because it goes off at about 5000 miles and I always forget where I am so basically all I do is just reset it every few months and just write down the mileage cuz I go about 15,000 miles on my car on my Corvette for oil change
