Hey Roger, any issues after you oiled it? I recently installed it. But haven't oiled it yet. I don't see any information saying that it's cotton and that it should be oiled. I know the K&N ones do, but this isn't that. In fact, I just looked up a similar one for Harley on AliExpress and it claimed that it didn't need oil so now I'm confused. But to be honest, I don't think that they have the best interest of the customer, they just want to sell.

I had no issues with being oiled; I just did 500km on my bike and did not notice any difference except that it is cleaner. Without oil, it may start getting rusty after a initial cleaning.

Question how well does that open air filter work during rain?, I really like how it looks but have reservations about it in rain which I ride in at times. I want to say water might get sucked in

It works good but you will need to purchase a rain sock, or rain cover for it, I have driven it in a bad rain and it worked fine. Also I made a video about the rain sock. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Koq2mlmLGWebc&t=

@@weron021 I ride a 07 Kawasaki Vulcan nomad, the aftermarket filters for those aren’t my style that I’ve found so far, would love find some like yours that would fit my bike.
