I recently got this MacBook Air in a trade. For what I use laptops for, this is good for me. While I ill say the display isn't the best, it's not the worst I ever seen. Overall, I am pleased with this.

Wow the prices of these have really gone down in the past 3 years cause I just got an early 2015 13 inch retina MBP 256 SSD. 8 gb RAM 2.7 dual core core i5 in like new condition for $180 and a MacBook Air early 2015 2.2 ghz dual core i7 256 SSD 8gb RAM in like new condition for $125 on eBay!!!! (Both have brand new batteries and run Monterey so they will hopefully last a few years and then I plan on getting a refurb MBA from Apple when that time comes

I have one of these, used it for 5 years and works great, but now only mostly for light work since it's starting to show it's limits. I switched over to a M1 Macbook Pro and now it is my workhorse to replace this 2015 MBA for daily work

I love mine so much I looked at the cost of completely refurbishing the 2015 MacBook Air 13, or base model Chromebook, some people on u tube pt it down but it still continues to be a workhorse replaced battery with band new one repasted cpu, new screen topp Deck with keyboard total cost 150.00 no new Chromebook for that amount, just junk or new junk🙂

The only problem I would say about this computer is that apple is probably going to stop supporting it on the latest releases of Mac OS soon. Of course there is patchers to make it possible to install the latest version but it's just not ideal and you're not going to get official support. For your use case, it's perfect, but make sure you consider everything this guy in the video said.

1080p video editing on the MBA is no problem at all. Do it all the time.

Having both a 2015 MacBook Air and a 13" MacBook Pro retina, I'd go with the MBP. Keyboards are the same, trackpads are pretty much the same. Both are "upgradable" with a little caveat with the older one - 3rd party SSD can cause kernal panics when set asleep. The Air is great for when I'm vacation and just want to see a couple of videos, get email, Facebook. But the screen ... the screen makes viewing over time tiring. The MBP is much better for longer sessions. Either have enough "power" for even photo editing and light video. I will however be looking for a 2015 retina MBP, which has no problems with the SSD kernal panic. And still "small" enough for vacations. Sorry Air, great computer, but ...

When I was doing IT at the university (retired in 2014), profs were writing books in MS-Office, preparing their lectures with it, financially running their departments with it. And of course, the 2015 MacBpr/MacAir were "new" then. i don't use MS-Office now - don't have to. i use NeoOffice instead. Like it better, more stable than MS-Office. I don't know about airpods. Don't have any, but if they need Bluetooth 4, then they'll work. Or if they're cabled.

hey sup Kagan, so the story of the day is that recently i bought an MacBook Pro 2015 13 inch for about 450 CAD dollars, and like 350 in USD, and it has like 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, and like Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 mb, and about 512 SSD disk, and i was wondering if it's worth the money that i paid for, and another concern is about the battery because the battery is about 1300 smth cycles, and should i change the battery and keep the MacBook because i already have a gaming laptop lenovo y540 i5 9300h 1660 ti 512 ssd, and just let me know what i should i do... I'm really confused rn, thanks because i haven't used MacBooks for a long time, and idk if i need it.

I have the Pro version and the truth is that it leaves much to be desired. I've had it since it came out and well it fulfills the tasks, but it is too slow. I'm not lying to you to open a Word file takes about 2 minutes and it really goes much better the Air version. Which is the one my sister has had for 5 years

If you're only using Word, PowerPoint, Safari/Chrome, etc. then even older laptops can do that. Those are the lightest tasks for any computer. Even a base level iPad 9 should work for you, plus you get a note-taking device.

Hello! I’m a college student and I use the 2015 13.3 8bg ram 512 rom ssd MacBook Air and it’s amazing! It handles all my bulky files and documents, streams well, zoom meetings are good, decent speakers, PowerPoint, word etc and I even downloaded some games on it like IMVU and the sims! Definitely give it a try :)

Macbook pro early 2015 13 inch (16gb ram 256 ssd aftermarket) I am using bigsur in it. Whenever i powers on my machine QUESTION MARK SIGN ON FOLDER starts blinking. This issue started as i tried updating my machine to Monterey. But it couldn't update and after that this question mark issue started. Sometimes it appears and sometimes it doesn't. Totally unpredictable. I have done following things as solutions but sign comes again after somedays. Reset SMC and NVRAM, Disk Utility Repair, Factory reset machine, Reinstalled new OS from bootable drive. Still question mark sign appears after working fine for few days. Really tired and irritated from this issue. Need your help guys, what could be the problem?

Well I'm in engineering and I'll tell you that yes, it does its job but if there are ovations it needs to take the next step, sometimes it takes longer than it should or it gets stuck. But we are talking about engineering programs, the throughput is higher than nursing. But I think it's a very good choice if you're looking to do homework.

Nursing school doesn't typically use too many super demanding programs, or at least my curriculum doesn't. I've downgraded from an M1 Macbook Pro to this due to finances, so I'm confident it'll do what I need it to do for my nursing program. As soon as my financial situation improves though I would likely move on from it.

@@buumajin8850 I think it should be fine for either one. If it doesn't work well on Mojave, it's not to hard to roll it back to High Sierra as long as you have an external drive, but I just bought this MBA and will be using it to start on Mojave. I can get back to you on how it performs.
