Excellent Sound. If you're looking to add some performance and a more aggressive exhaust note to your S550 Mustang GT, you might want to consider this Kooks Cat-Back Exhaust with H-Pipe. Included in the setup are black tips, adding a sinister look to the band end of your car. You get a louder but deep exhaust sound, instead of rasp. Race mufflers and an H-pipe are included in the setup. This Kooks cat-back exhaust is made to fit on all 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang GTs.
Strong Construction. All the tubing for this system is 3 inches in diameter. The entire system is made of stainless steel, with mandrel-bent pipes. A black powder coat is applied to the tips, giving them a great look and protection against damage.
Simple Install. Like any other cat-back exhaust, this is an easy installation, because it's a one-hundred percent bolt-on job. There's no cutting or drilling needed, making it an easy job most people can take on. The only thing is this system is designed to fit on long-tube headers, so you have to install those at the same time, which is a difficult job that will consume an entire day. In other words, you might want to hire a professional to install this along with the headers.

Stainless Works H-pipe catback. Perfect classic deep tone with the right amount of crackles and pops. Only drone is between 1850-1900 rpm when in 6th gear cruising (about 63mph on performance pack cars). Loud, but not obnoxious.

I thought the same thing. I think the muffler being located rite before the tail-pipe has something to do with it. the older 5.0's and the 99-04"s the mufflers were essentially underneath the rear passenger seats with a good amount of pipe coming off the muffler for the sound to travel through before exiting the tailpipes.

i had a 95 5.0 mustang gt with stock headers, off road h pipe to 40 series 2 chamber flowmasters... sounded amazing!!! to this day my old highschool friends still say it was one of the best muscle car sounds cars they've heard till this day 15 years later.... now i have an 18 gt premium with resenator delete to kooks mufflers (forget exact model) but was told the set up on my old 5.0 wouldn't sound good on the new model so i went this route to be a little different than what everyone else has on their coyotes also to save a few bucks and was extremely worried about the outcome but although it sounds nothing like my old one and not like muscle car as we've known from the past but all my worries were set aside and I'm extremely happy with the outcome and sound low drone noise and not too loud at low RPM yet deep and throaty and sounds really really nice throughout the WHOLE rpm range!!!! couldn't be happier! (and I'm really picky when it comes to drone, hallow, and respy tin can crappy sounds which this really had none of those... thank goodness!) also updated factory quad tips with dual walled 4" tips which look amazing as well!!...ill add specifics soon.
