This is a perfect example of direct injection. Because the fuel sprays at the end of the compression stroke instead of during the intake stroke. You get 100% air into the cylinder then the fuel is a 8% addition. This means the actual volume air/fuel mixture is 8% greater then standard fueling. 5.0 + 8% = 5.4L. Also direct injection helps cool the pistons and minimize knock allowing for more aggressive compression and timing, hence 475whp.
@williamrori12743 жыл бұрын
LOLOL can't believe people upvoted this. That is absolutely not how it works at all whatsoever. Your volumetric efficiency (I assume that's what you're trying to explain, however wrong) does not change the displacement of an engine lol.
@Alex-je3el3 жыл бұрын
This is not correct, air fuel ratio is for mass quantities, not volume. 12.5 AFR is 8% of fuel MASS, more like 0.01% of the volume
@awhitness3 жыл бұрын
@@williamrori1274 I am not trying to explain V. E., I am explaining direct injection. But with that said if a 302ci VE is 80% Its moving 241cui of air And another 302 VE is 100% it moves 302cui of air Let me try again as simply as possible to explain. Multi port Intake valve opens - piston goes down and fills the cyl with air/gas mixture If the VE is 100% it will have 302cui air/fuel mixture in the cylinder. DIRECT INJECTION Intake valve opens - piston goes down and fills the cyl with air (BUT NO FUEL) Then, after the intake valve has closed and the piston is compressing the air it sprays the 8% fuel into the cyl. If the VE is 100% it will have 326cui air/fuel mixture in the cylinder.
@awhitness3 жыл бұрын
@@Alex-je3el We are talking about wide open throttle. If an engine is idling at 1000rpms, yes it only uses a fraction fuel and air but the ratios still remain.

How does one enable their mustang to accept and run on E85? I know some F150's have flex fuel from factory allowing this but what are the steps you have to go through to otherwise make this a possibility?

Those 5 liter engines almost have an exotic v8 sound in certain rev ranges.very nice Also. Go for the most n/a power you can. Intake manifold/throttle body, cams. Hell it ain't my money. Go for it. This woukd be a great road course car with all that n/a power

I’m a big fan of both versions either way. I think in GT350 form the old one looks better but for Ford’s everyday mustang, I like the refresh better!

Do keep working on this Stang. Show us what how much reliable HP you can get RWHP keeping it NA. Which for me is the point of getting a Mustang GT. One of the few NA cars this side of an Audi R8/Lamborghini Hurcan. You do however sacrifice the Ford warranty. Or do you swapping out the air filer, headers/exhaust?

American Muscle for Real!!! While we all know, there is no replacement for displacement, it's clear that technology has made that an obsolete statement. Those three mods cost about $2500. Try doing that with an BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Fiat? You'd pay huge. I have been in the market and watching the Ford Mustang evolution for 2 years now and I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a fully loaded GT, but I have a feeling 2020 is going to be the year for American Muscle car, specifically the Mustang. Mustang lovers, your thoughts please?????
@El_Popote6 жыл бұрын
There might be a hybrid engine in the mustang in 2020. Rule of thumb is dont buy first gen of new tech, pull the trigger on the 18gt brotha. ;)
@LimpSage6 жыл бұрын
Bruh those 3 mods def not about 2500 lol
@C4AJ6 жыл бұрын
LimpSage well the cold air runs around 300 tune probably runs about the same or near it and the headers ha 1k+ then labor which is a nother 600-1k so your probably pushing 2500-3500 but still ain't bad
@LimpSage6 жыл бұрын
headers, xpipe, axle back = around 2800-2900 BY THEMSELVES, plus intake, plus tune, plus install (fuck no im not doing that shit myself) sounds like 3500-4000. defff not 2500 lol

@caseymurray77222 жыл бұрын
That would be fun but idk if the corba jet would do much anyways. The gen3 intake got redesigned off of the improvements with the gt350 intake and that typically made about equal hp to the cobra jet on a coyote.

The stock 5.0 is a legendary motor. The Mustang with the performance pack can it 3.9 sec zero to 60 and get under 12 secs in the qtr, you can a dealer installed supercharger with a 36 k warranty at certain dealers and have 700+HP for 45k. I'm a big Hemi fan, but the 5.0 is the real deal.

Have an 18 long tube headers no cats steeda pro flow closed intake and Lund racing e85 tune... I never though I would say I had enough power but literally if you put it to the wood getting on the highway you are st 130 easy before merging... e85 wakes it up and it's like a whole different car.. highly recommend these or similar mods
